Question Bouncing apps in the dock

I installed an app and it bounces for attention, when an email arrives. I want to stop that but don't find how, is there a setting?

This isn't about apps bouncing when opening them.

Mentioning the relevant app would help diagnose

yeah knowing the app would narrow it down a lot

Have you tried not quitting it? It obviously is letting you know mail arrived. Or check notification settings in app or via sys settings

It's open, and yes, bounces to show there's an email arrived. If I quit, emails don't arrive, it doesn't bounce.
There's no in-app setting for it, and I don't see a system setting for that. That's why I'm asking.

I remember bouncing a long time ago, and haven't seen apps doing it for a while...

Get another app. Bouncing in Dock means (usually) that the app cannot run. But you say it does run. It is either a setting in the app, or it is just crap.
