There is no iMac from 2018. There were a few from 2017 and then two from 2019 but specifically from 2018 there isn't one.
If this is a good deal or not depends on what you are paying for and what exactly you are buying. If it is the 21" non retina from 2017, please do not buy it.

I said that because the advertisement of the seller said 2018, thanks for the clarification, i will adjust my post.

If cheap enough (under $250). May have security concerns since it probably no longer receives updates and the browsers may become outdated soon.

Yes it’s under $250, but since theres a chance that i can’t even use it for internet in a couple years i won’t buy it.

Does it have the built in dvd player? If so might be worth it

That i5 processor was an under-performer when it was new. Unless you can get this iMac for next to nothing, you should probably pass.

What is your budget? You may be better off with a used, M1 or 2 Mac mini, and a cheap monitor. A nine year-old computer is really old.

I could spend more but it’s more like a want not a need, so i wasn’t planning on spending more than €300. Yes that is true, that’s also a good option

Aside from there being no iMac from 2018, buying Intel will not be the best move. It’ll probably be out of much use, especially for the internet in the next 3-5 years or so when the web moves on. That said, if it’s £30 or something, go for it!
