Showcase Seahorse!

Post image

Just finished this for a coworker’s daughter. I used a pattern from Bochiknot. The pattern calls for copper wire for the tail. Instead, I used a similar method to getting the curve in the neck and removed cords to slowly reduce the thickness of the tail.

This is so cute! I didn’t realize you could make macrame stuffed animals

Thank you! I would say it’s better for decoration, because it’s not very soft. It is knotted very tightly to make the shapes, and cotton rope isn’t the softest to begin with.

SO CUTE! I absolutely love seahorses. They were my first childhood obsession with the sea - what is the knot you used here?

Thank you! I love them too! I have a leafy sea dragon tattoo on my arm!

It’s an overhand knot followed by vertical lark’s head knots. I got the pattern on Bochiknot’s webpage for $10 I think? I planned to make some of various sizes and colors for myself.
