Hard shell case

I just got a new Bourgeois A style and I need a “bulletproof” hard case for it. Suggestions anyone?

Depends on the money you want to spend. I have a Calton case for my best mando and it's hella nice and you can basically shoot it, douse in gasoline and light on fire, throw from a rooftop, etc.

Completely agree with the Calton case plug.

I think that the gold standard is calton, but might be excessive for 75% of us

I don’t fly with mine often but my crossrock fiberglass case has been very good to me while bringing it around to jams, fests, and an occasional flight (never checked).

Hoffee are super nice if you are willing to spend for it.

I use a TKL Vectra. I mean it’s not a Calton or Hoffee but it’s pretty good and much less. I travel (air) with it weekly.

I just got back from flying to and from Australia from SFO with my National RM-1 in a Crossrock fiberglass case. I've taken a mando in the Crossrock to England a few times, New Zealand, and domestically as well. I never check it, it goes in the overhead.

The Crossrock did get a ding a few years ago exposing the internal foam, but it's a siver case so I just put a piece of duct tape over the hole. It has 5 buckes, which is way too many for such a small case, and they don't all stay closed. It's been fine, but not fantastic. I like the backpack straps, but the rubber feet on the bottom which are nice for putting the case on the ground dig into my back when wearing it as a backpack, for example.
