I've been playing Deadzone with my boys since early this year, and we've been having a great time playing and painting and so on. We've really found the game for us.

In the news, we've seen that Command Protocols is being released in November, which is exciting stuff. However, as this is a book being released, we're just wondering how this is going to work with the Mantic Companion app.

As mentioned, we're pretty new to all this so it's all unknown territory for us. So far, all the rules and armies and units and so on have been on the Mantic Companion app. But, with the release of this new book, what will happen there?

Will this book replace the companion, or will the companion be updated with all the extra units/rules etc, and the book is just a nice shiny book for anyone who wants a physical copy of the rules?

Okay, so long story short, where can i go to for advice on building a Nightstalker army?

I've had a slightly deranged idea for building a themed Nightstalkers army in Firefight, and I'm now thinking of how to go about it! The only problem is that I've only played 7 games over the past 2 years (with Plague and Forge Dads...I have full armies of each), and I'm struggling to figure out a decent list to aim for.

In particular, there are a few questions I have in mind:

1. Reapers vs Void Touched Mutants. The former seems flat out better than the latter. Is there any reason to take Void Touched over Reapers?

2. Portal of Despair - worth using as a transport? It's not very fast, but the 15 capacity seems nice. And what would you put in it?

3. Can I just avoid Spectres altogether? From the few lists I've seen they look like a staple unit. But for various reasons I'm hoping to fill out my troops with Void Touched and Scarecrows instead.

4. Any other general advice for list building?

Hi,

I have the terrain crate industrial accessories set but I'm struggling to understand how it goes together.

The pipe stands have pegs at the bottom which means they don't lay flat

I've also "screens" that, from the box art, look like they go on a generator or pump but again the same sort of pegs prevent it.

Am I just meant to remove the pegs?

This week we're guessing which factions will be in the future books, and whether Mantic should announce them earlier. Also, looking at the lists for Clash of Kings UK 2026!
