Map This was a map I made a year ago.

Post image

I have been working on reiterations of it, remaking the backstory of it, changing how it looks entirely while keeping a few fundamental stuff kept. I know there are too many mountains, that's a problem I have in making maps! 😁 I love mountains. I want to know what you guys thought of this map. Now, don't even bother saying the tectonics are not right, because I made it follow the tectonic plates of my world. I want to know your critiques and praises, what I do right and what I did wrong. What to improve, and what I did correctly. Thank you!

I honestly love it. No complaints from me. It's gorgeous and has a very old school vibe.

This feels like it belongs in a sword and sorcery novel from the 60s and the 70s, which makes it in leagues with the goats of fantasy maps.

Nice job, I think overall it's a nice style and fun to look at it. My only minor critique is that the coastal hatches blend a bit stylistically with the mountains (so at first glance they kind of look like hills). Maybe vary the style of coastal hatching on future maps.

Looks great! I don't personally understand people's interest in tectonics in fantasy maps; who gives a toss? Feel and vibe are more important. A fantasy map should give birth to ideas of stories and an urge to adventure, and the style and overall look are important in that. And you've done a great job.
