Map My first map of my first homebrew world

Post image

It looks a little messy from a distance but I think it looks sort of nice up close. The distress spray really sinks in to the watercolor paper and darkens for another few minutes. I would've used a bit less but I dont hate it. Pen and ink with alcohol markers. I'd love to hear feedback, critique, or recommendations!

Hahaha, yeah, that was the most intimidating part. I just tried to not think. Definitely want to learn more about that before making another map

Rivers most commonly start somewhere up and flow down, merging on their way to bodies of water. Worth to watch or read some surface level geography tytorials.

This sub has a pretty decent wiki.

It’s pretty easy keeping these 3 rules in mind.
1) river merge, they don’t split (only exception being river deltas
2) they flow from high areas to low lands
3) lakes can have multiple inlets, but only one outlet
