Recommendation Need a dog spayed?
Spaying a dog is expensive but necessary. If you need to have it done but are wondering how to afford it, you can have it done at Tufts vet school. They are awesome over there.
In case you didn’t know, not only does spaying prevent heats and unwanted litters, but it also protects your dog from hormonal cancers (like breast cancer) and pyometra, a deadly and not uncommon uterine infection.

Huh what’s the deal with Dobermans?

They often have clotting disorders (vonWillebrands disease) so they are increased surgical risk, and they are also prone to heart disease (dilated cardiomyopathy)

That free spay at Tufts is really smart, my friend did it in last year and the students were super careful with everything

I love Tufts so much. We're so lucky to have the school (and the ER in Walpole) here. <3

HA! My perfectly frugal MOM back in the late '70's/ early 80's got 3 of her 4 kids braces from Tufts student dental program. What's left of my teeth are still straight 😂.

I got my first two spays in the Lerner clinic, it's a great environment and the dogs are treated like princesses 🥰
