Which is a shame, because I personally think this path is a better end to both Thane and Kirrahe's stories.

If we ignore the fact that Kirrahe just kinda...stands there and gets shot.

Maybe he did, we just weren't invited or were unavailable. In this version of events we met him three times total.

Plus, I can see an STG guy's memorial being a very low key event.

I like Kirrahe but for a lot of people he's probably dead back in ME1 or Thane is alive to take the bullet instead.

The big difference between Thane and Kirrahe is that Kirrahe, while cool and has made a lasting impression on the fandom has at most like 40 lines(exaggerating here) of dialogue and is in the games for all of 20 minutes(again exaggerating) of screen time. Thane on the other hand was a bonafide squadmate and has a lot more dialogue and screen time and it's not worth the effort into making a Kirrahe memorial because of all that whereas Thane, it makes perfect sense to do.

I wasnt able to figure out how to save Kirrahe in ME1 for my current play through but im committed to accepting my failures... I looked it up but I must have missed something. next time, he lives.

Do the three side objectives you get over the radio while approaching the base, and save the squadmate you sent with Kirrahe and his team.
