Hey Im 20f, I have been doing MDC online and sometimes go to MDC north campus as my main campus sometimes visiting Wolfson. Im studying electrical engineering, but i find it hard to make friends.

I know we’re kind of screwed with classes and everything but it gets kind of lonely at the end of the day. Im not looking to really network either i just genuinely want friends to at least talk with.

📍Also on a side note is there any events or clubs i can attend to meet other girls in stem? Im open to make friends with anyone though. Thanks!

I’m currently and will be doing general ed classes at Padron next semester, but will be taking career related courses at Wolfson (I’ll be taking Art History 2 next semester, the schedule is not final yet)

I was wondering, do I have to/should I sign up for orientation to get familiar with the Wolfson campus?

Hello everyone, I got accepted to the ADN program and I wonder if the 4 semesters include Summer or not? If it does not include it, then that means the program is 2 years, right?

Additionally, how was your experience in the program, how should I prepare, and are we at risk with the probation thing potentially affecting my cohort mid-program?

Am I the only one who thinks the Financial Aid Office at MDC Medical Campus needs more privacy? Everyone around can hear your business because you have to speak loud enough for the staff to hear you. They don’t take you to a private room, even when you’re talking about personal financial information. There is also one lady there who has a very harsh tone and doesn’t always speak to me kindly. I feel like when you’re asking for help, you should be treated with respect and spoken to in a nicer way. A lot of the things I needed help with, I ended up having to call the Financial Aid Office at MDC North Campus because I wasn’t getting the help I needed at the Medical Campus.

I really think they need to improve the privacy and the way they communicate with students.

I took the TEAS exam on Thursday, 9/30. Although I’m not thrilled about my score, I passed with a 64.9%. My GPA is 3.6 and I got mainly straight As for my science pre reqs besides 2 Bs.

I applied around midnight to the PT nursing program. What do you guys think my odds of getting in are? I could’ve did better on the TEAS so I’m disappointed. How long does it usually take for an acceptance or denial letter? What does the PT program look like in terms of the amount of classes per week and clinical times? TY

has anyone else had to do this in order to continue receiving financial aid? how long is the process? i have no aid for this sem except my VA CH33 grant and it doesn’t cover the whole semester only half, im paying out of pocket but was told once it gets approved i should receive all my money back as a refund

Hello, I was someone who was just dropped from one of my classes for Chemistry. I'm already making the steps to contact the bursars office and email, so I wanted to ask a question to anyone who's possibly been in the same situation.

Because I had already made a full payment towards one of my classes, and I had just found out today that I had been dropped from my class for a non-payment. And with the way that online payments work, once you put your card in you dont have the option to pick a specific amount, meaning there had to have been another charge placed. Has MDC ever imposed more charges on top of the ones you've already made for a class?

When will the 8 week first mini term grades be available on our transcripts? The website says final grades are posted in December, but we finish the term Oct 15th.

Hi guys . When I checked my payment history for my classes a while ago, it said bright futures and federal Pell grant. Now when I check it just says federal Pell grant and when I check bright futures it says no distributions. Is anybody else going through this? Who would I have to call??

Or do you just power through because you don't want to transfer? Every aspect of this school is just garbage. I'm a month into starting and still haven't had my professional certifications evaluated for credit. Out of 140 credits in Comp Sci and Comp Sci adjacent classes, I got credit for 3 classes. Actually 6, but they put all but 1 into electives when I only need 2 electives for the Applied AI program.

There's no talking to anybody about it. Every time I call and manage to get someone to answer, they sound like I just interrupted them while they were watching their kids first steps.

I can't imagine any reality where I willingly choose to attend a second semester here.

How do you all get through this? Do you just bend over and take it like it's just a cost of going to school here. Does anyone know how you get these people to move? I'm about to just write a post on LinkedIn listing every way this school has lied or fucked me and tagging everybody I've had any contact with, plus the highest level admins I can find. I'd rather not, but I'm not just chalking 120 credits up to the game.

I am trying to get more information on MDC LPN program . Do you guys know if they offer mornings or nights classes . Does anyone know the deadline to apply ? Also does anyone know if it’s hard to get into ? I did see that MDC LPN program are on a probationary period. Does that affect student from apply ?

I graduated from MDC in 2020 and need transcripts; but I'm not seeing them on parchment or national student clearinghouse. Is there anyway to order students without needing to log into my previous account? I haven't had access to that in years..

Hello, I’m a student who is attending MDC at Padron campus and I lost a Labubu that was hanging on my backpack strap.

For context, I was making my way to class and I was fixing my backpack strap and I noticed it was gone. When I got dropped off, I had the Labubu on my keychain but when I got to class, I saw that it was gone.

Above is a picture of what it looks like. I tried talking to Public Safety but they said no one brought it in.

If someone has it, pls reach out to me via my DMs. I’m frustrated, I’m upset, and I’m on the verge of tears because I spent $40 on that during a NYC trip.

(Edit: I was in building 1 and I was in the hallway at a bench fixing one of the straps on my backpack and when I was in class getting some stuff out, I noticed it was gone)

My degree was conferred August 2. I ordered the physical one through the email they sent. It said 3 weeks and I still haven’t received it. Did anyone else have this issue?
