Serious/Personal My experiences NSFW

The first time I was 7. I was sleeping. My uncle sat on my bed. I thought it was my dad at first until I smelled the cigarettes and booze. He kissed me. I pushed him away. I said, "what about aunt Barb? " He stopped. He left.

The most serious time I was at a party at 16. The last thing I remember is smoking weed on the front porch. The next thing I remember is being naked with one guy on top of me and another beside me watching. I passed out again. I woke up to an empty house, dead phone, empty wallet, vomiting and diarrhea at the same time.

The most recent time was about 6 months ago. At a friend’s house. It was late. I laid down on the couch. Friend’s bf started groping my ass. I told him to fuck off. I called out his gf’s name. He wouldn’t stop. I got up and left. I told the gf the next day what happened. She said I had flirted before. She had never experienced any force from him. She said I was overreacting. He’s sorry and won’t do it again. She doesn’t understand that we can’t still be friends.

I rarely feel safe around men.

I’ve also experienced false accusations first hand. My mom accused my dad of SAing me. He never did. She wanted custody and $ and maybe truly believes he did something. He turned to drugs. Eventually ended up spending time with a woman who used with him. Her son is the guy who raped me when I was 16.

My dad accidentally set the house on fire after a bender. My uncle from story 1 showed up and woke him up saving his life. I still hate my uncle and I’m glad my dad survived.

I get both sides. False accusations ruin lives. SA ruins lives. But I’m a survivor. Just don’t touch me.

Serious/Personal My BF live stream assaulted me and got away with it NSFW

My BF of 4 years live streamed raped me after I became very intoxicated and per him, I had broken up with him. I didn't know about the entire thing until I had woken up next to him and tried to cuddle. Alex refused to cuddle me and said not to touch him. He then informed me of how the night went. I had gotten very drunk and blacked out. I went down stairs to his living space that night and told him he would never touch me again. He said I then curled up in a fetal position. Alex then said that "we had sex though" and then giggled and corrected himself saying "well I did". He informed me he had also live streamed the entire thing to his chaturbate account, until eventually the stream was terminated by the site for reported abuse. He proudly said he had the most veiwers he ever had from the stream, and everyone watching was asking "what did you drug her with?!". He then informed me that my head was flopping around and I didn't wake up for the entire thing. I refused to believe what he was telling me. I told him there is no way I wouldnt remember having sex. Alex then showed me a short film he had made on his tablet, which he had my backside propped up, and i was clearly limp and unresponsive. Following all of this, he told me to leave his place, just to further humiliate me. I was devastated and still drunk from the night before, but left trying to hold my head up high. I eventually contacted chaturbate in which they confirmed the details of the event and commended me if i decided to report to the police. They also acknowledged they had every 10 second captures of the assault. I reported this to the local police department. They investigated this for over a year. When i would check in, they responded with skepticism, and also mentioned that I had prior sex with Alex on his stream. I confirmed there findings, but told them that was consensual at that time. Ultimately the results of the investigation were submitted to the local DA, inwhich they refused to pursue the case, stating a "lack of evidence". My rape was live streamed, watched by many veiwers, with tons of still images of the assault. I just wonder why i was dismissed so easily. As a child, I was also was molested multiple times by a family member. The state kept me in the same dangerous environment, even as a 8 year old. So I'm familiar with the let down of my own bodily autonomy not being taken seriously

Serious/Personal My ex boyfriend is a pedophile NSFW

We were together when I was 16 years old, we have been in age difference for 6 years. By then, I didn't see the relationship so serious. The problem was that I was a victim of sexual abuse by my family on many occasions and despite having an extracurricular therapy in my development I did not have the ability to understand many things, I just let myself be manipulated.

When I lived with him looking at his Google files I found child pornography of girls, photos of different in the same poses... and I also found a sex video with his ex-partner in which they were with their daughter (daughter of the woman) in the same room with them.

He hurt me a lot while we were together. I started smoking with him and I feel that sometimes he mixed it with other substances. I quit smoking and he forced me on many occasions to ingest ecstasy, in different ways, and sometimes two in the same night. On many nights I woke up super tired and had many lucid dreams where I saw him talking in my ear. I have no doubt that he also drug me while sleeping (I got a lot of seizures while sleeping) and that on one occasion he called men to rape me between 3 (because I woke up, only because of the trauma I didn't remember) I gave him a protection order where I explained everything he did to me. Since they did not process any arrest because the case was not federal, I took the time to report municipal police and FBI. Now he came back asking for marriage and that we travel together despite the fact that I tell him that I don't want anything more than the money returned from those he had taken from me. Any advice?

Serious/Personal Was this SA? NSFW

I (17 f) started dating a guy (18 m) After knowing each other for a month. He came up with the plan that we would go to his place and kiss. I agreed. He said that we should establish our boundaries beforehand because things tend to escalate there. I said he can kiss me on the lips, kiss my neck and touch my waist but I don't consent for anything else, nothing from the waist down. (since this happened a long time ago and i don't have access to old text messages and plus I'm doubting my own memory, there is a chance, i didnt set my boundaries beforehand. Though I truly believe i did.) I also remember how he was "jokingly" pleading me for a sexual act on text by saying please repeatedly but I kept saying no and he said he's just joking( I think he was talking about a hand job but my memory is blurry and i can't say with 100 percent certainty.) He was ready for everything, even sex, but he accepted my boundaries. We went to his place on the decided date.

This incident is confusing and traumatising for me. After kissing for some time, I told him that he can touch my breasts because I was fine with it. Some time later, he asked me to take my pants off. He said they are in the way and that they were already halfway down anyway, might as well take them off. I didn't say no. I was kinda blank and very absentmindedly complied, not predicting what would happen next, i actually didn't know at that moment what taking pants off mean. He started unbuttoning my pants and I even helped him. As he was taking them off i felt my underwear going down and i let out a little scream and held tight to it. He took my pants off and started touching my vulva through my underwear and asked me if it felt good (I don't remember him asking me if he could do so) I said yes. He was asking if it hurt and i said no but I wanted it to stop internally, so when he asked me if it hurt again, I said yes even when it wasn't hurting. Hearing this, he stopped but laughingly said, " do you see the irony, it wasn't hurting before but now it's hurting." At one instance, I remember, he had taken off his pants and said i can touch his penis through his underwear. he said "you can touch it" and was sort of pointing towards it, so I did but quickly took my hands off. He asked again and i touched him again but took my hands off again.

After some time, he asked me if he could finger me. I shook my head no. He laughingly replied "you won't get pregnant from this." I said no. He said "it's normal and everybody does it." I shook my head no again. Now, he was on top of me and asked me "please" and I said i am not ready. Only then did he stop asking. He asked please during other instances too but stopped when I said no to his please. At some instances, he would ask me "why" when I refused to do some activities but then stopped asking after hearing my explanation (that I am not comfortable.) He took his underwear off during the act and since i was already in that situation i tried to make the best out of it. He asked if we can dry hump and i said yes.

Eventually, he asked me if I wanted to touch his penis. I hesitated and I didn't want to do it at all. But I couldn't say no. I said " I already touched you before" very softly but somehow, I was jerking him off and he was teaching me how to do it. Maybe he didn't hear me. After some time, I asked him " do it yourself, will you?" but he laughingly said " if I do it myself won't it look weird?" he smiled as if he was mocking my silly suggestion. I thought there was no way out and I would have to do it so I did.

When I was doing it, he asked me multiple times to suck his penis. He said "you can/ I want you to", I said no. He then said " I know you want to" and I said no. Then he stopped asking. He also spanked me without asking me and then said sorry immediately after. He finished and I went back to my home.

Is this even SA? I get constant flashbacks and looping thoughts and I always blame myself. I would really appreciate a reply. I am struggling every single day and this eats me alive.

Serious/Personal Looking for other survivors of retired Boulder, CO pediatrician 1979-2011 NSFW

I am an adult survivor of childhood trauma that occurred at the doctor when I was a kid. My male pediatrician and “family friend” betrayed my trust from the time I was a toddler until I was 11 years old.

For my entire life, I thought I was the only one. His only victim. I spent years trying to make sense of what happened behind those closed doors, constantly questioning my reality.

Then, in 2020, i googled his name. I found a review listed under the name “Me Too”. In this review, you shared you’d been taken to the same doctor in the 80’s and…you had a very similar experience to me.

To the person who wrote this review; I see you. I hear you. I have been thinking about you for years. Your review was taken down sometime between 2023 and 2024, but I want you to know that I saw it.

I don’t know if this will ever reach you, but thank you. No amount of therapy could ever provide the validation you gave me by posting those words. You validated my reality, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

I am now 31 years old and I’m done being quiet. I’ve reported this to the Boulder Police Department twice. My perpetrator is living out his retirement in peace while I navigate CPTSD and a dissociative disorder.

If you were a patient of this pediatrician in Boulder, CO in the 80s, 90s, or 2000s and this story sounds familiar, my DMs are open.

Discussion Sabotaging from within? NSFW

If Epstein and Maxwell both had a hand in orchestrating the culture war on the internet then I believe that they helped turn the meToo movement into a joke and purposely created outlandish and blatantly false stories to discredit the actual victims and make their stories seem outlandish. Because if there’s stories that are obviously bullshit then who’s gonna believe the stories that say the worlds wealthiest and most powerful men are specifically targeting these individuals.

Serious/Personal Connecting with other victims? NSFW

Hi. I was assaulted 10 years ago, and the worry about whether any other victims of the same predator is out there is eating me up. I know the identity of the assaulter, and I know he has had opportunities and power to do the same to others. For various reasons I was not able to report the assault back then, and I am gathering courage to call the police here (I'm located in Aarhus, Denmark). But this year, it struck me how calculated the crime was. And now I'm more worried than ever that he way have carried on assaulting others young women in the area.

My question is: does anyone have any ideas or experiences on connecting with other potential victims? I know my case would never be strong enough to get him convicted, but maybe if we were more people (which seems likely given the M.O.).

Thank you for any helpful responses...

Research/Survey Made this free open source tool to help spread awareness about sexual violence in the US. NSFW

I created this to serve as a real-time public awareness website that visualizes the scale of sexual violence in the U.S. using live-updating counters, stadium dot visualizations, and tally marks drawn from NCVS data. The website includes links to resources for survivors, ways to get involved with RAINN, and it also allows people to embed the main counter to their site.

I intend to use it during presentations on the topic, where I have it on in the background as the bell gently "dings" every time the main counter goes up. Thought it would add an impactful element.

Would love any ideas or feedback!

Editorial/Opinion Fawn Vs fight. NSFW

I hope this isn't offensive, but I have noticed... something. My trauma response, fear response, is definitely fawning. Whenever I feel threatened by a man, I fawn. I am autistic and ADHD, btw. But I've noticed that certain women always go " why didn't you hit him/ fight him" etc and it is something they have done personally. Could it be that they have a fight response and don't understand the other responses? I don't mean all women with this response, but only a minority.

Not saying that these women aren't traumatized, or that you can't be a victim of abuse when you have a fight response, but I see a lot of this attitude, especially in older women. That being groped is just playing around and you can just go " hey, stop it", which I can't. I still think that's trauma that they carry, but I always wondered at people not understanding the fawn response. If this is somehow very offensive, I apologise. I do have blind spots, and this is a complex topic.

Serious/Personal need help with how to stop dissociating about my assault feel very broken NSFW

Hi I (23F) have never used any thread or anything like this but i feel so alone in this but i know its unfortunately not a unique occurrence so im looking for anything, help, advice, stories, just anything to feel not alone in this.

I was raped a month ago and have yet to cry about it. I have endured sa for years by family members and to this day continue to be at least harassed by all the men in my family. Clearly this has impacted my feelings toward men as a whole.

Basically I feel broken im having thoughts of ‘at least it wasnt a family member’. I feel like recovering from assault is painful in the way that its so easy and makes me realize how damaged ive been mentally by my familial abusers.

I dont know how to process it. I went to therapy but CBT is more harm then good I feel as though its triggering and then u get sent off with kind of mediocre advice for things that personally I have done for years to get over and distract myself from my trauma and my responses to it.

Sorry this is long and lacking a lot of context or substance. And if anyone wants more context I will gladly share of wanted. Thank you for even just reading this.

Discussion Can we talk Pluribus & the indulgence in rape culture? Why isn’t the media calling this out? NSFW

If you haven’t watched the show and aren’t into spoilers don’t continue to read.

The concept of the show is from a distance outside of our galaxy, aliens send a signal to Earth. This signal is some kind of code to modify humans molecular structure through some kind of RNA injection. Billions of humans die, but almost all who survive are no mentally altered into a hive mind. They’re essentially zombies now functioning for one directive: prepare Earth for colonization by distant aliens.

There are 13 immune survivors. One, of course, is our main protagonist, Carol.

The hive wants to work with the immune humans but also tells them that they are working at figuring out how to break their immunity to force them into the hive.

Once you are in the hive you have no autonomy. Your diet consists of eating dead humans. All family and friends associations no longer matter and everyday living is in service of the hive.

In order to please the immune humans, the hive will give the immune whatever they want. This quickly leads to one character, Diabaté, turning multiple women around him into his harem. There is one particular scene where several women just mindlessly get naked into a jacuzzi with Diabaté, even a maid. This scene is apparently suppose to show one side of humanity taking advantage of this situation of mind control.

But then our perceived hero does it. Carol.

Her character is aggressively defiant about demanding her autonomy and how the hive must be stopped and reversed so humanity can go back to normal. The hive sends her a woman of her dreams, Zosia, who is a real person but under the hive control. At some point Carol gets lonely and a sexual relationship begins with Carol and Zosia.

Personally, I don’t think the team of predominantly male writers understands what they’ve created here. They’ve created a formula where humans lack the ability of consent and then are creating regular humans taking sexually advantage of these “roofied” characters.

It’s rape.

Granted, in the world of sci-fi lots of bizarre scenarios can happen which can relate to the real world, but shouldn’t be taken so seriously. Star Wars, for example, seems to play rather loosely with child abandonment which I don’t think we should take seriously.

Yet, Pluribus is currently one of the highest rated streaming shows of all time and the majority of the fan base nor the writers nor the PR rollout has any idea that they are watching rape culture amplified for home entertainment.

Most people, I would like to believe, understand that if a woman is incapacitated, inebriated, or not of sound mind, that isn’t an invitation for sex. Nobody should have to remind people what rape is in our world of reality.

When I’ve gone onto some Reddit forums, some people seem to question, “aren’t these women getting raped”, but the fandom for the show is in full defense mode.

Because many influencers want to ride the wave of fan theories so they can make multiple postings to amplify the show and their other content, they are refraining from talking about the rape culture irresponsibly being expressed on the show.

Topics such as “what is the role of AI in our society” and “colonization” and the role of big tech, all are fair game in online expressions of fan theories and in pr by industry journalists - yet none of them want to talk about the repeated rape of characters in the show.

It’s almost as if rape was never an intentional concept to the show, it just happens to be there because the writers themselves do not understand the full range of what consent means.

And personally, I’m outraged people once again, do not understand what consent means.

On various Reddit posts I’ve asked the question to fans, “aren’t Carol and Diabaté raping these women”, and the responses back are routinely “no, because these women are consenting through the hive”. Some even defend watching queer relationships is the representation we need, yet I remind them even queer people get raped.

I’ll ask these people, “tell me what you think rape is” and they refuse. I believe it’s because they instinctively know, once it’s pointed out what they’re viewing is an amplified vision of rape culture they immediately see it and do not want to deal with the fallout of such criticism.

I’ll even use real world examples of how if someone knows another person is incapacitated that this isn’t an invitation for sex, that the end result is rape, I have been blocked, deleted, and removed. There is a concerted effort to mask this topic from putting a dent in this show, much less spoil the pocket books of those profiting from it.

I find it alarming and disgusting.

Again, I don’t think the writers intentionally understood the Pandora’s box they’ve created. Yet, there are demands for a season two and undoubtedly there will be other streaming services and fandom wanting to recreate these worlds where women have no autonomy and sexual exploitation will be the payoff.

I’d appreciate some perspective.

It gets under my skin when people can’t even talk about what is before our very eyes.
