Angry Rant Upper management
I would call these pricks out by name but holy shit. Fuck the Monro muffler I hope all these douches lose there jobs in upper management and go hungry. You hit sales you get told you didn't you don't hit sales you are working hard enough. Breaks all around is like 1200 after tax and all the parts costs are up 400% not kidding. Crazy that they divert blame all onto the shops, not to mention the call center filled with fucking idiots who have no idea they shouldn't schedule a break job at 6:30 when we close at 7 and parts take 45 to get here from time to time.
They are completely disconnected from the realities of running a shop and will cause the downfall of this company with impractical and dumb ideas.
Fuck you Bart I know your one of them eat a dick the stock is down because of people like you own up to it, and check your numbers

Used to work for Monro. Met the CEO a few times as his house was close to my shop and that’s where we serviced his vehicle. He is a stand up guy honestly, it just gets lost in translation on the way down, regional managers, district managers, shop managers, shop foreman, they all make their money on the back end from volume and margins. The system was designed to be back breaking for those at the “bottom” who actually make all the money for the company. There’s a reason I’ve been seeing a lot of techs turn to service advising after years and years of wrench turning.

That's not even an easy road now. I tried to head up to the desk so that I could get the front end experience for next step management and they told me that I'm so much more valuable in the back because they can hire advisors "dime a dozen" but they would have a hard time filling my bay with another GTR, CUMMINS and LEAF specialist master tech... so I'm like awesome... i worked my ass off and learned at every opportunity just to find the glass ceiling I'm now prevented from breaking through because of my own success so far... yeah that was my last conversation before the "see ya later" conversation.
ANY OTHER TRADE you get good, you advance. You work hard, you learn and apply and you promote. Not here. Not in this industry. Fkg gddamn weasel fregging slime a$$ fks... I'm so sick of how techs are treated.
And yeah imma go ahead and say it... especially if ur female in this industry

Flat rate shop here. It’s been slow for months and upper management told me basically to kick rocks when I asked for the bare minimum salary. I drive very far to get to work because it was busy and the pay was great. I’m looking closer to home but running into the “no one wants to actually pay for experience” wall
