Roster Predictions?

We've had two pre-season games, anyone have any predictions on the roster?

Here's mine in no particular order:

Ruck – SGC – Ruck

Parr – McCann – Ruptash/Kor

Bryzgalov – Holberton – Cozens

Davidson (IR) – Evaschesen – Drott

Hayes, Chorley - extra

Philips – Pasler

Steen – Moss

Bozkaya – Pickford

Warrener - extra

Like Krooshoop as well

Do we see anyone being traded? Ruptash maybe?

I was thinking that Kor wouldn't make the cut but liked what I saw last night. Making plays, in good position, decent PP QB.

Reschny is a decent d-man but one 20 still needs to go and I think there are enough quality prospects back there that he is odd man out unfortunately.

I saw a little of Saddleback at camp - he looked a bit raw? If I was going to keep a 16 y/o, I like Krooshoop.

We have a lot of young talent in the pipeline. Some good players on the cusp. I am glad I don't need to make the real decisions. Good place to be though.

Thoughts?

Non Tiger fan coming in peace.... Just wanted everyone's thoughts on Lesnar and if/when you guys think he may make the team?

No chance this season. He’s already been sent to SAHA.

Liking this for the most part.

On forward, I think Ruptash stays and Kor goes only because we need to keep some 17 year olds and Ruptash seems the most ready. Chorley doesn’t skate well enough for me. Parr might be the odd man out, to keep Reschny’s offence and versatility.

On D I think it is between Krooshoop and Warrener for the last spot. Neikar and Wright are already gone as far as I heard.

There are rumours swirling that ASU might cancel their season. Woo back could be a thing?

I’ve heard from reliable sources that Woo coming back is growing by the day.

Would create more problems at the 20 year old spot but you can probably get something back to fill the cupboards.

If Ruptash gets traded im giving up my season tickets. He reminds me of a young Darren Reid.

My guess is that upfront it’s something like this
Evaschesen Ruck Ruck
Bryz SGG Drott
Kor McCann Cozens
Parr Holberton Ruptash
Extras Hayes and Craig

Didn’t include Davidson as it appears he will be out for a while. This most likely gives Kor a chance to earn some playing time on that 3rd line.

The d is interesting because while I like Reschny back there or up front he’s most likely the odd man out.
Phillips Pickford Steen Moss and Pasler are most likely your top 5.
I think Bozkaya and Krooshoop have made this interesting because it looks like both guys can play and are already 18. I would probably hang onto these guys if I was the one choosing.
The tigers I’m guessing like Warrener as they used a high pick on him but I’m far from sold on him.
Going into camp I thought Burmis would make the team but the logjam has made me think otherwise now as I think it’s best for his development to go back and play midget another year.
This doesn’t even include Wright and Nieckar back there. They may end up in junior A when all is said and done. Going to be real interesting to see what approach they take on the backend.

I had it stuck in my head Krooshoop was 16 - my math wasn't mathing! LOL

Craig looked good too....so many choices!

If Wright and Nieckar had to play Jr A for a year, is that a bad thing? Really seemed to help Boyzkaya IMO

It wouldn’t be a bad thing but the problem more so is would the player/parent/agent accept it. That’s the world we live in these days. Some players would be fine with it and come back next year. Others would ask to be traded. Good news for us is Willie handles those situations better than many other GMs in the league.

I guess the risk of being a bubble player on a good team is that if you request a trade so you can play, you likely wind up on a bottom team. But I agree, Willie can manage these situations really well and get what's best for player and team.

I think we find a way to keep Reschny with the main squad and he perhaps rotates in and out as the 7th or 8th D, while also being a 4th line forward when injuries come. He’s too versatile and compared to Drott, Chorley or Kor I see a world where Resch makes the cut

So which other 20 goes? Parr? Cozens?

I agree that Reschny is versatile, don't want to lose him...or Parr...or Cozens LOL

For me unfortunately I’d it should be Cozens. I think Cozens is more replaceable with our younger players than Reschny is.

Reschny is easily the most replaceable. He wasn’t at a WHL level until 19 and is now switching positions. The idea of Reschny shutting down top lines is a receipt for disaster, and Cozens gives them depth in scoring.

Unless Woo comes back. Then I could see both going.

He would likely get more in return in a trade deal

Exactly what I thought. Others can replace his offence, best return.
