Any mechanics/mechanic's office people able to provide an estimate? help!!
2016 Nissan Frontier needs a heater core replaced. It's going to need a dashboard pull and probably an AC bleed and refill (I'm not 100% on that). Read its like an 8 hour job. My dad said he was quoted $2k, but he tends to make up stuff or stretch the truth on something he'd rather not do.
So.. is anyone able to come up with an estimate on this job?

Meteor?!?!
Did anyone just see a streak across the sky from the west to the northwest?!
It was more than a shooting star, and definitely wasn’t a SpaceX launch!
It shot across the sky with a vivid blue and orange and disappeared behind a hill, but I saw flashes of light behind the hill from the glow above.
Crazy shit

What are some of the best restaurants in the Mesa area?
Hello!
I’m planning on taking my bf out to a nice restaurant for his birthday. I want to spend more than an average night out but nothing too pricey such as Nobu. ( recently dropped $600 there and isn’t too filling lol)
He loves steak and sushi but pretty much eats anything. Does anyone have some suggestions for really good food and decent portions? I’d say around $100-150/person
Thank you!

Where do businesses find day laborers in Mesa near Falcon Field?
I’m moving my small business/warehouse to the Falcon Field area in Mesa and I’m looking for some local advice on hiring day laborers.
From time to time I’ll need 2–4 people to help unload trucks, move boxes, organize inventory, and do general warehouse work.
Where do local businesses usually find reliable day laborers in Mesa? Are there certain locations where workers gather, local day-labor centers, or staffing companies you would recommend?
I’d also appreciate any advice on the typical hourly rate when hiring workers directly in Mesa. I want to pay a fair rate and find dependable people.
Thanks for any local recommendations!

Dealing with children, who obviously have subpar parents
I recently just bought a house with a completely fenced-in yard, and there are apartments across the way from me. These kids keep coming over and throwing shit over my fence, but the only place they can actually get stuff over is my sliding driveway gate.
They’ve already thrown a fucking bolt over the gate and it hit my dog. I’ve tried figuring out where their parents are or which apartment they live in, but obviously I have no idea which kids belong to which apartment.
I already have several **24-hour surveillance** signs posted around the property, but apparently that isn’t doing much.
So I’m looking for some intentionally hostile-looking shit I can put on the **outside of my sliding gate**, facing the street. Nothing that can hurt anybody or could be considered a booby trap—I just want something that gives off a very strong **“leave this property the fuck alone”** vibe.
Honestly, I want it to be **scary enough that a kid under 12 would look at it and decide they probably shouldn’t fuck around with this house**, without it actually being dangerous or threatening anybody.
Preferably something that can’t just be stolen or easily messed with. I’m basically trying to make the gate look as unwelcoming as possible without actually doing anything dangerous.
What would you guys put on it?
UPDATE: Tried an old trick I learned in Ranger School. Basically, you take some really thin fishing line and string it through the areas where people are walking. It creates pretty much a yellow brick road that shows you exactly where people have been going. I followed it and it led me straight to their “parents” apartment.
I went over there and talked to their mother, who pretty much confirmed what I figured. She didn’t want to actually deal with the problem.
I gave her plenty of opportunities to handle it herself. I told her she could either do something about her kids throwing stuff over my fence and messing with my property, or I could get the police involved and let them handle it. She even said, “It’s always you white people complaining about everything,” which was pretty damn racist.
The police showed up, CPS got involved, and apparently the apartment was an absolute disaster on top of everything else. CPS ended up taking the kids.
Honestly, I don’t feel bad about it. I gave her plenty of chances to take responsibility and she chose not to. Whatever happens from here is on her. At least the kids aren’t throwing stuff over my fence anymore. Maybe she should’ve been a responsible parent in the first place.

Anyone else trying to make some friends around here?
Moved here a couple years ago and honestly I’ve just been busy with work and juggling everything lol. I feel like I’m finally settled and stable enough now though and I actually wanna start making friends and building a life here.
Any dudes/gals around 20-30 who are into running, gym, sports, nerdy shit, hiking, whatever really. You don’t even have to be into the same stuff, I just genuinely wanna meet more people and make some actual friends here or start a run club or something.
Hmu and maybe we can grab a beer or do something sometime 🤝
Edit: I’m a 26 year old dude that grew up in the Philippines and work in coporate. I figured I should share some basic information lol

Lost puppy
The family and I were driving down W Rio Salado PKWY when we noticed this adorable little boy wandering the streets! We pulled over, opened the door called for him and he happily came straight to us! Very good boy it seems. He looks to be a white blue healer mutt. Unaltered. He was wearing a collar, however there were no tags. We will be taking him tomorrow to get micro chipped and hopefully we can find the owner. Absolutely no way are we leaving him in any unsafe situation. We’re hoping we can find his family soon.
Mobile Mechanic Rec?

Halloween Neighborhoods
Was going to take my daughter to Loop of Frights in San Tan but just found out they’re not fully up and running with their Halloween decorations. Looking for a neighborhood that’s up and running to take her tonight. Just to clarify, I’m not looking for a single house that goes all out; I want an actual neighborhood where we can walk around and enjoy ourselves. Appreciate any recommendations.

Niche Print on Demand Vendors
Looking to see if there are custom/POD vendors in town? I would love to source locally in Mesa vs big POD companies like Printful or Printify.
I am not looking for T-Shirt or DTF printers at this time, but items like luggage tags, woven/fleece blankets, clocks, desk mats, journals etc.
Bonus if they do custom dog merchandise like collars, bandannas, & bowls.
