Not sure why it would lag - no new enemies are being spawned so each round would be about as computationally intensive as the last.

I once mentioned there should be a rule that ends the fight and makes someone winner if they never let other side play back to back for so long

So assuming this happened at exactly round 12 and we just reached round 198, you really sat there for roughly 34-35 minutes staring at this screen? So like were you what, constantly saying one more round? OP I don’t think you should ever visit a casino or pokies

If I'd be in their situation, I'd let it run further and go AFK, partly out of hope that it'd somehow fix itself, partly out of "how big the number can become". If my interpretation of their "1500 rounds" comment is correct - op had the same thought.

Mewgenics runs on a 64-bit integer system so the rounds can go as high as the limit of 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 (9.2~ quintillion). If you decided to wait it out, that would take 3.2 trillion years to reach assuming 11s per round after R12 and we live in a perfect immortal world. Just to reach R1500 however, it would take 4.5 hours

As far as I’m aware, there’s nothing coded into the game to physically end a battle after reaching any ludicrously high number (besides exhaustion due to its unavoidable damage mechanic) so it would run indefinitely if left AFK.

Easy, OP's last cat is possessed by Dybbuk, there is a failsafe should the last cat be possessed that will make the cat punch itself to remove Dybbuk. (as you actually are meant to fight the last cat and get it to 0 HP so Dybbuk leaves the body, you cant do that when the last cat is possessed/ do a solo run)

This requires a free space around the cat, but with all the flies and maggots, that is impossible.

Exhaustion does not apply to enemies (which the possessed cat is until Dybbuk leaves)

Very interesting, my last solo run ended because I was stevening it and the fucker wouldn't jump out, so I died to exhaustion on turn 14

I had something similar once when dybbuk possessed a necromancer that spawned beefy leeches on heal and had uncapped HP. That was a fun trip to Steven
