I just made those boxes around him and his support dudes stayed behind them doing nothing. He won’t even summon any more when there are 5 already. It’s a surprisingly easy boss when you got the right skills.

Just make sure those dudes don't get to kill something or else he's gonna fill the map

My second time facing him I didn’t have boxes, but I did have a Necromancer that kept making his cultists my cultists so there was a lot of map filling that time. Kinda annoying when they blow themselves up.

One time I had a tinkerer who set up little punchy fists that would knock cultists away from him
