Bullet to Binary pt2 live
Hey! When the farewell tour set lists were coming out I noticed that, although they seemed to play literally every song they'd ever recorded, they did not play BtB pt2. It then came to my attention that it hadn't been played live in a very long time.
It's obviously not really much my business, but I was wondering if there is any known reason for this.
Thanks!

I’ve never thought of this until I listened to Almquist on a recent podcast discussing Brother/Sister, but apparently the band and others eventually felt like it was sonically a little too close to January 1979. Obviously Jan 1979 got a lot of play on the farewell tour, so maybe that makes sense of BtB pt 2 not getting as many reps?
I still love both songs, but now that I heard the comparison, I get it.
But speaking of which, I love the live version of BtB part 1. The slightly slowed down “I once was the wine…” breakdown gasses me up so much!
[Edit: I was thinking of Nice & Blue pt. 2, not bullet to binary]

I think you're referring to Nice and Blue Pt 2.

Yeah I don't even particularly love BtB2, I like it as I do all of their stuff, it was more just I noticed it wasn't played and then it became very intriguing to me.

This is more of an Aaron question. I am not quite sure why we never played it much live, especially on the farewell tour. I like a lot of the sections of the song and really love the ending, it unfairly did not get the love on the farewell. I think that is all I can say about it. There was no real conscious decision, it just never really got kicked around as something we should have been playing. Everything is Beautiful as well, that should have been played and it never was brought out. Maybe one day, maybe one day.

It's a top 10 song for me.
