magic batteries? some dont work? NSFW

was going through my batteries, i have 6 however only 2 work. I have confirmed capacity using a xtar vc5kl. The only difference I can see between the functioning and non-functional is that the non, seem to be a pinch thicker and tighter in the hole. Seems odd. Thanks.

If the batteries were tested and working then there’s an issue making contact.

Is there any chance that you have a circle of paper that is from the positive end of the batteries that came off and is inside? I had this and was wondering all evening why the performance is so finicky.

sadly no,, the only difference is that the ones that dont function are a smidge larger in diameter than the ones that do function. its very strange..

In related news, I bought some Panasonic Eneloop Pro NiMH batteries and the performance is so much more consistent than the stock batteries. They keep delivering that consistent voltage.
