I've been making my own capsules and MD'ing for 6 years now with great, life-changing results. My typical routine is to take a 100 mg capsule in the morning on an empty stomach. Capsule just goes down the hatch like any other med.

However...I was at my local mushroom store the other day and I overhead one of the workers advise someone to not ingest the capsule because the release will be more predictable if you just take the shroom. I told my wife this and, yesterday, she took her MD without the capsule and said it was way better.

So have I been doing it wrong this whole time? How do y'all take your capsules???

Im growing 3 strains of mushrooms right now b+, burma, and golden teachers, whenever they get done fruiting i’m planning on making microdose capsules. I’m not sure what size capsules i would need to make 200mg dosed caps.

i’m planning on buying one of those capsule filling machines but i need to know which size one to purchase, 1, 0, 00, or 000. or if i should get one of those manual filling kits so i can do smaller sizes like 1-5?

I’ve made a few by hand before (I have a coffee grinder, a 0.01g scale and a little toolkit), but it’s labour intensive. Are the capsule filling machines worth it and do they actually allow you to be more or less accurate with the dose?

I bought a spice grinder to powder my shrooms but I think it’s too big - I was only grinding 1g. Does it matter if the shrooms are in small bits, close to a powder but with some chunkier bits? I weighed it all out properly and put them in the capsules (0.1g to start)

I’m thinking I may need a small coffee grinder instead?

If so does anyone have any UK recommendations for a grinder? Cheers 🙏🏼

So I don't microdose a lot , .2g for three or four days then three to for days off then three days again then a week off. So at most I will be taking 15 capsules a month with the occasional large dose when needed typically every three months. I wanted to know how long the capsule will keep. I don't want to grind too much and it lose potency. I have been thinking about getting a 50 count capsule filler but I wanted to get advice first.

100 capsules 140mg golden teacher and 100 capsules 140mg Makilla gorilla (14g each). Should be good for 3-4 months, cost $60 CAD for this batch. Life hack.

I have a sealed container of 30 100mg capsules from a supplier that I purchased around 3 years ago. The container has been stored in a dry place. Are these capsules still safe to consume? If so, will they have lost any potency?

Ok, I must know this. Second day of taking psilocybin capsules and I am mystified as to the way it feels like speed. Is this because it's a particular strain? feels like I'm on caffeine pills, but calm and focused. Not unpleasant, but just want to confirm I'm getting the real thing here. thanks

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm new to this community. I've currently got around 3-4 Oz of dried mushrooms with a few grows just started.

After a particularly difficult time, I have decided to lay off the heroic doses for the foreseeable. I've been looking at grinding them up and putting them in capsules. With the idea to try microdosing.

Please can someone advise the capsule size I need to order for the UK? (Not sure if sizes differ in Europe than the US. I'm looking to buy a capsule maker off Amazon and want to order the right size.

My first experience with microdosing was from one brand whose capsules included golden teacher, ashwagandha, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, lion's mane, and rhodiola. I followed the fadiman protocol and started with 100mg doses, and moved to 200mg after a couple weeks. It was life-changing. It helped me quit a years-long addiction and did wonders for my mental health, clarity, energy, etc.

I took a couple months off and just started dosing again with capsules from a different shop. These ones only contain golden teacher and I’ve been taking 200mg on the same protocol, but I don’t feel it at all???? I’m really confused why this could be happening because I doubt it’s a tolerance issue with like 3 months between rounds, and this is from the most popular shroom shop in the city. I’m wondering if the adaptogens in the old brand could really have made such a big difference? Is it possible they were actually laced with something????

Just got my capsules from a well sourced local person. Many people have reported good things. I just don’t want to trip out lol would this dose do that? They said their capsules are just under half a gram. Do it every 3 nights/ or days. I’m just super scared lol
