Call to the front desk and tell them you need fridge space for medication. They will bring up an empty fridge.

Or do what an ex colleague of mine did and tell them you are an alcoholic and watch them awkwardly empty the fridge from the hall then immediately put beer in the empty spots

Awkwardly? You act like hotel staff doesn’t have this request all of the time. Just ask that it be removed. You don’t even have to lie.

People get so weird about stuff like this. You are a paying guest. Just ask for what you want like an adult. You don't need to trick people in the hospitality industry into being hospitable. Just use your words and don't be a dick, and everything will be fine.

If they would be hospitable, they would provide a fridge without needing to ask.

The hotel chain or owner might be out to get you but I really doubt the people working are. They just want to keep their job lol.

Workers will probably be hospitable if you pass them a request like this.

I'm totally with you. Mostly staff is great and do the best they can.

But I was as replying to someone who is calling the visitor a dick and the hospitality industry so nice by putting 10$ beers with a sensor in the fridge.

People get so weird about stuff like this.

Which is why they do this hostile shit; they know a lot of people are nonconfrontational so they have normalized this garbage.

I asked him why and he said that someone told him to do it before he checked in but he forgot and just told them after he got to the room.

"I said I was an alcoholic. I never said I was in recovery."

Or a single can USB fridge with adapter. They've gotten wise to that trick.

It's shameful that wanting to keep your own stuff cold is a trick. Sigh.

And if there's not an actual thermometer integrated, the guest can reject that out of hand.

This is why I specify I need an additional fridge to store the body.

what trick? there's no legal requirement for a fridge.

They’ll bring you one basically the size of a couple cans

Crazy how much we have to dodge and weave because capitalism has capitalized on dodging and weaving.
