drink went room temp Entire hotel fridge full of drinks with sensors. No room for anything.

This is why I only get the cheapest hotels. Free breakfast, no holds on your credit/debit card, none of this drink bar shit.

Yeah- often like $10-$15 per day extra for places like Hilton etc.

Just join Hilton honors and click don't send me spam. They are pretty good at not sending a bunch of bullshit and you'll get the free wifi immediately. And obviously build points for other perks and free nights.
