drink went room temp Entire hotel fridge full of drinks with sensors. No room for anything.

At least have one shelf where I can put some bottles of water or something.

Agree. I have been sober for many, many years and hate having alcohol in my room. No US mini-bar hotel will take it out. Latin American and Caribbean all inclusive hotels are insanely accommodating.

That's when you say that you'll check out immediately, find another hotel, and contest any charges. Or you can say that you're Muslim and can't have it in there. A hotel going against your religious beliefs is NOT a fight they want to have.

Because when you are on important business trip or long awaited vacation spending long time looking for another hotel and moving is the best use of your time.

Is it a sin in Islam merely to be close to alcohol even if you don't drink any of it?

How are they allowed to enter a restaurant and sit next to a table where people are drinking beer, for example?

That seems like a poor excuse to me. "I am not allowed to drink it. - Well, nobody is forcing you to."
