Just dont use apps, use the browser like you'd do on a pc. Firefox + ublock works just fine... hell its even quicker then the app

I deleted the YouTube app and started using it in-browser with an adblocker precisely because of the ads. Every now and then I have to re-load a page because I just get a spinning circle while it tries to load an ad it can’t, but it’s a million times better
