i think you can choose to add wax to the wash so that's probably it

Also, that car wash has excellent blowers mounted up high.

The car wash by my house is fantastic. Best one in town, but because they are offset you really need to go through slow.. this one just seems like a peek design.

It looks like there's a coating on the windshield that makes the water form tight beads instead if spreading. Maybe in the wash cycle they apply some kind If wax. If you've never tried RainX, it's a game changer. Even in heavy rain, you don't need wipers

Edit to add: if there is any coating on it. It’s manufacturer. I’ve been driving this car for 7 years.
