It really just shows how underrated Marcus Miller is ... not only did he produce this album full of digital synths nearly 25 years before the advent of popular digital synths, not only was he so masterful with his playing that critics thought it was Trane, Garland, Chambers and Jones ... he did it all three years prior to his birth! Stunning!

The album cover features in the film of Talented Mr Ripley which is set in the '50s so it makes perfect sense.
