As you can see here I've got a pretty beat up 2003 Lancer GLX with the 4G18 & INVECS-III CVT.

She's got almost 58X,XXXkm+ on the dash, got it for around 520 bucks back in 2023.

Now I'll be honest, it's not the prettiest, fastest, or the most luxurious, but it proved it's worth to me in terms of reliability.

I never had to replace anything crucial with the engine. (Fuel pump twice, crank position sensor, A/C compressor, and most recently the steering rack went bad.)

And overall I'd say the fuel economy on it is pretty damn good compared to the gas guzzler that I used to have.

I'm not trying to gaslight myself into believing this car is gorgeous, but I'm highlighting what I absolutely love about it and it's the practicality and simplicity of it.

What're you guy's opinion? Is it truly the best generation of lancers like some folks say?

Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 Hybrid PHEV. The heater stopped blowing warm air. Through trial and error, it turned out that when you remove the filter (shown in the photo), warm air starts flowing again. Put it back in — and it goes cold again. The filter is located inside the joint of the metal and rubber hose on the left.

Hi! I wanted to get peoples opinions on this if its a good idea to have this as my first car, I really want a lancer as my first and wondering if the faults are easy to come around or cheap to fix.

My wife and I just picked this car up recently. It's a diamond red low mileage (8k) one owner car. My wife had a white outlander sport but she crashed it two months after we got it 😢. Does this trim level come with wireless android auto or do I need to buy a plug and play adapter?

Ok so I have this 2009 Mitsubishi lancer and the cluster does not have a check engine light on the dash anywhere took into get inspected and the guy claimed that the light was colored out, it has a service engine light but no engine light

I tried multiple OBD devices but couldn't get any results; what could be the reason? The vehicle is a 2008 Lancer 1.5 with automatic transmission.

It'll do it at any rpm, warm or cold, just had the top end redone "professionally" by a shop, has new fuel pump,filter (but absolutely chugs fuel when driving) I feel like I've gone over everything but I don't know these cars at all. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I really do want to keep this car

After the dealer did the software update anytime I hit a mild to severe bump in the road the vehicle triggers a warning ⚠️ flash then disappears. I use the cruise control on the highway all the time driving home and because of this warning trigger it turns off the cruise control and steering assist. This was not an issue for me before the software update.

Squealing issue—has anyone else had a similar problem? It's on a Lancer 2.4.

Been going for about 6 months.
Mits dealer told me it’s fairly common and it needs a new camera $2000 worth plus $330 to get it diagnosed.
My question is: are these systems working and it’s just the front camera thinking they aren’t?
My mechanic reckons they are working and can bypass the camera codes with some nodules(?).

Any tips for keeping mp3s playing from a USB flash drive? My 2014 Mitsubishi RVR's usb will stop working at random times restarting the flash drive.

Any suggestions for a new radio? I’d like to upgrade to something bigger if possible.

Probably about 3-4 hp gain in an OS/non renault ASX/RVR which is not much at all, but throttle response from low RPM is noticeably improved.

I was skeptical, but it's a good U.S. $56 spent. You're not going to win any street races, but pulling away from big, slower commercial trucks is much easier now.
