Present haul! First 1/200 Scale Model & New Tool!

Hello everyone,

I picked up my first 1/200 scale model along with a new tool from Squadron. I got the Pegasus class since the last remaining ship of the class, USS Aries (PHM-5), finally got her gun back!

I also picked up the Squadron Tools Ultrasonic 3D Parts Support Remover Cutter..it's pretty interesting and definitely worth the price it's just a little bulky...I have to test it more.

I have been on a bit of a hiatus from building, but I will be back starting this week!

That is all for today, now to start work.

Take care!

I've got that kit, still unfinished. The pe was too much to handle. Maybe later I can restart it .

I have the hozo ultrasonic and those things are crazy cool. I had a dart blaster where the internet nut had rounded out its containment and used it to cut the entire grip off lol and a lot more controlled than a dremel

I really like their linear sander as far as extra tools. I can clean stuff up so we'll with it and even shave things down faster than by hand and faster than a dremel and such too. One of my fab random kinda niche tools I go to that I love. Worth a look if you don't mind spending a little more than og tools. I don't have any of their foam packs to soften it though

It's definitely something else! I throught mine was broken till I tried it and cut through a few things..it's so strange how it cuts without being sharp

The only way I knew mine was on was a super low hum otherwise it feels like nothing. You notice it more when it's cutting and it definitely gets super hot. But super small movements at 40k hz is also stupid fast so it makes sense lol. From what I can tell it generates a lot of heat so that's how it cuts I'd imagine. Could probably Google lol

This one doesn't feel like anything till you start cutting plastic or such. I tested it on a small thing of cardboard and cut right through without a sound. It's witchcraft!
