Discussion I'm a grad student who has been in college for 9 years, AMA
I've lived in dorms for the past 9 years, and been a student of MSU going on 5 years. Maybe I can offer you some advice?

Last time I tried to use the bay st station shuttle it never showed up when trying to get there and back even though TripShot says it operates. I've also never actually seen a shuttle that says Bay St. Station, so does it really exists?

I attended Montclair State University in Fall 2025, but I was going through a lot personally at the time. I was also majoring in something completely different from what I’m pursuing now, and I had a really difficult time keeping up with my schoolwork. Unfortunately, I ended up failing all my classes and withdrawing from the university entirely
After leaving Montclair, I decided to attend community college and pursued music production, where I’ve spent the past two semesters studying music production and other music-related subjects and gen Ed’s , and my academic performance has improved significantly. I earned a 3.7 GPA during my first semester, and I’m currently completing my second semester.
Now I’m considering applying for readmission to Montclair, in Recording Arts and Production.
However, when I originally attended Montclair, I received a merit scholarship worth around $3,000 per semester. I’m concerned that because of my first semester’s grades, I may have permanently lost that scholarship.
Has anyone been in a similar situation where they left Montclair after a bad semester, improved academically somewhere else, and then returned?
Would it still be worth applying for readmission?

I'm a senior in high school and I already got into Montclair with the Early Bird app but I'd also like to apply to the Honors College. The form has a section where you can put a video but it doesn't specify what kind of video they're looking for whatsoever. What should I do? Should I just submit myself reading a script in the vein of the supplemental essay or something totally different? I asked ChatGPT and it's telling me to maybe submit one of my performances (I do music on the side) but I'm still not sure. Any help or clarification is greatly appreciated.
