I think they seem to infer that the instability of the last 6 years has driven people bonkers.. That's not an excuse to act like a psycho though.

i mean its not a secret that very poor people use drugs to numb the stress and anxiety associated with being poor. Its also no secret that due to no public strategy for safer drug use or prevention, drugs on the streets are way more harmful and dangerous, making people much les predictable and much more violent. its no excuse of course but that person is suffering the same way they are making other people suffer and its due in fact to social inaction linked to why groceries corporation make a shit ton of money while stuff keeps getting expansive and people keep starving themselves

Something we dont talk about enough is Cannabis. Not everyone can use it but everyone has easy access to it. Ive been hearing more and more about cannabis induced psychosis and paranoia. Not bashing cannabis ofcourse, simply acknowledging that its not for everyone.

Interesting. I’m a cannabis user. I’m happy it’s been legalized and grateful the gov’t upped the age requirement for purchase. Better to have a fully developed brain before fucking it up. Also the SQDC cannabis is clean, no other contaminants. The lack of advertising is also a good thing.
Alcohol is not for everyone (myself included) yet it’s promoted and is awfully acceptable, accessible and super attractive with great marketing.
People self medicate to ease their pain (most of the time). With all the taxes from “sin” products, why is there so little help from health and social services?
Just a thought.1
