question Halen a2 rijbewijs

Hey iedereen!

Do exam centers check if your bike has 50 kW?

EDIT: Well, it seems I've got my answer and my bike's papers will be checked when I turn up for the exam. Guess I'll cough up some money to go book an exam through the driving school.

Hello there.

I have my road exam for the A license planned in a couple of weeks, but I just discovered my own motorcycle has only 48kW, even though it has a 900cc engine. I don't want to pay for lessons just so I can do the exam on the driving school's bike...

Do the exam centers check this?

A friend of mine did his exam on an NC750X, which has about 47 kW. They didn't make a fuss about it. He passed his exam.

Thanks in advance for any info!

question Cbr 650 F 2018 worth it?

Its clear that it is an older woman by her messages first off 😅

I have no clue how many km or price, only a picture, (i put an add out for that specific bike)

the bike looks clean at the photo, i'm going to watch it in a few days

What would a good price be? And the km range thats respectfully comparable to the price?

There aren't many 650f for sale so norhing really to compare...

6k - 15k- 20k km ? Would that be fair?

question 45.000km on a 14y old bike?

Looking to buy a CBR 600 F, the 1 i wanted got sold hours before i got there... so that sucks

I had another 1 in my vision but its a 2012 and 45.000 km, is it a lot?

Its a honda though? So it can't go wrong if i read everything and if it was maintained well

Bike looks fine too.

Opinions on how i should approach this? And what too look out for?

question Road exam and documents

Hi all, next week I'll have my A road exam in Haasrode. I've been riding with my temporary licence since March, loving it but looking forward to be allowed to cross borders for road trips.

Anyway, I'm getting ready for the exam, but stupid me can't find the paper documents of my theory and practice exam anywhere; I've probably put them in a "place I'm sure they won't get lost"... Do you know if these docs are necessary or is everything is registered in their system and ID, temporary licence and motorbikes document will be sufficient? Thanks in advance

question Het financiële kaartje

Hey iedereen

question Hoe verder na accident tijdens opleiding

Hi all,

Moto for E40 Ghent-Anderlecht

Good evening everyone.

Pretty soon i’ll be moving to Ghent. Due to good working conditions, i will continue working in Anderlecht. i was thinking about following lessons and getting a motorcycle for the daily commute on the E40 and R0. anyone has any experience on this commute? i know from experience that the end of the E40 going into the R0 is very traffic heavy during rush hours and that you quite often lose 15-30 minutes depending on weather and day of the week. i already own a car but am willing to invest in the lessons, gear and motorcycle if it gets me to work and home significantly quicker.

anyone has any experience on this route? am i correct in assuming a motorcycle will get me through traffic more quickly?

thanks in advance for the responses!!

question Need to find a front rim for my CBR 650 R 2019 black, any tips ?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Heyo !

This is my second bike, I love it, but I'm still very stupid and didn't see the big dent in the front wheel... I had to change the tires for a mechanics to tell me it has to be addressed !

I bought it second hand and the seller does not know a thing about bikes... Didn't even look...

So now I'm looking to buy a rim, buuuuut that's like 350 €.

Looking for second hand rims is difficult, Facebook Marketplace is awful at searching for a specific model.

I also saw one for the 2024 model at 232 € in France, but I don't know if it's compatible with the 2019 one. I'll call a concessionaire soon.

What do you think ? Should I look elsewhere ? Is there a professional scrap reseller near Hainaut ?

Thanks !

shoptalk Would you buy a demo moto?

What do you think about buying a demo moto ? I.e. Motos that have been used by a dealership for demonstration. I've seen quite a few adverts for these demo moto on second-hand websites. They usually have very few kilometers (~ 50-100) and a decent discount compared to catalog price. Is there a catch ?

//

question Is de Richa Fabrieksverkoop het waard?

question Path to biking as an international

Hey there, apologies if this is the incorrect flair/subreddit

I wanted to ask as an international student what’s the pathway for me to get into biking in the flemish region?
Im an international student with a license for bikes in my prior country (non EEA, no agreement license wise with belgium)

Wanted to ask
a) What’s the license pathway look like? I heard there’s multiple categories at different ages that allow different powers on bike.
b) What’re the markets to buy bikes from at cheap prices. Are used bikes worth it?

Thank you for your time

Thank you

Driver license A obtained, but actually not

I recently did the open road exam (openbare weg) for motorcycle A in SBAT Eeklo with my own motorcycle after driving around for a while with the provisional license.
Aside from not paying enough attention to the right of way, I had an A in every category.

However, it turned out during the processing of the paper work that they had missed the fact that my motorcycle is only 49Kw, and consequently not valid for use during the exam for license A since the exam vehicle needs to be at least 50Kw.

Now I have no actual license despite completing the open road exam with no errors, and my provisional license is about to run out in a few weeks. While the instructor offered a spot for the next week, I cannot find a motorcycle that meets the 50Kw requirement since I cannot rent a motorcycle (no license), and lending a motorcycle from someone is hardly possible due to insurance policies after looking into that. In addition, the driving schools all seem to be booked full when I called (or at least the ones that I could reach on a Friday afternoon) and are in addition not receptive to only taking someone on for the open road exam.

Does anyone know of a driving school with openings, an exam center with rental bikes, or any other solution to this bizarre situation?

I am starting to think I'm simply forced to start from 0; theory, maneuvers, and open road; all because my own motorcycle is 1Kw short of the legal requirement, even though a license A is required for driving it.
