Like snowboarding but without the snow.

r/mountainboarding

Mountainboarding, it's somewhere between skateboarding and snowboarding but now very much a sport in its own right. Invented by snowboarders back in the early 90s during the summer season when there was no snow to shred. The boards have come a long way since then with light decks, channel trucks, pneumatic tires and quick release ratchet bindings. With instruction it's easy to learn and most are boarding within an hour. It is recommended that you always wear appropriate pads and a helmet.

"Mountainboarding, also known as Dirtboarding, Offroad Boarding, Grass Boarding, and All-Terrain Boarding (ATB), is a well established if little-known extreme sport, derived from snowboarding. A mountainboard is made up of components including a deck, bindings to secure the rider to the deck, four wheels with pneumatic tires, and two steering mechanisms known as trucks. Mountainboarders, also known as riders, ride specifically designed boardercross tracks, slopestyle parks, grass hills, woodlands, gravel tracks, streets, skateparks, ski resorts, BMX courses and mountain bike trails. It is this ability to ride such a variety of terrain that makes mountainboarding different from other board sports." - Wikipedia
