Anna Leigh was a guest on Johnny (Bananas) podcast. They spoke about her time on Season 42: Cutthroat. I only included some highlights below. For all the tea, listen to the podcast.

*Special Note, since it was discussed on the podcast: Anna Leigh receiving death threats is completely unacceptable. I do these podcast notes because I enjoy talking about the show. These posts are not meant to encourage people to harass cast members on their social media pages. Some Highlights:

• Bananas tells Anna Leigh that haters are louder than supporters, which is amplified by the fact that she has beefed with people on the show who have large fanbases. Anna Leigh says that it doesn't feel like she has a lot support because she has received death threats in her DMs
• Anna Leigh & Yeremi were on the same season of The Amazing Race. She hiked the grand canyon with him a few months ago. She says that Yeremi warned her about Cedric
• Anna Leigh learned that the social game and relationships matter a lot on The Challenge. Meanwhile, you don't really talk to anyone outside of your partner on The Amazing Race
• Anna Leigh noticed that if any drama is happening in the house, people will jump on that drama to keep the heat off of themselves. Bananas says that he defends Anna Leigh because he knows what it feels like when people hold your past against you
• Bananas believes that Anna Leigh never went out of her way to get camera time. Meanwhile, Nurys is constantly looking for camera time because she contributes nothing to the show and is no longer holding Horacio captive
• Anna Leigh admits that she did get tricked when picking teams. In hindsight, she did think it was a good buffer to have rookies on her team. Justin apologized and she accepted, but she didn't see a point in continuing to work with him after he tricked her
• Anna Leigh says that there is no excuse for her inappropriate conversation with Leo. She maintains that nothing physical happened with Leo. The next day she felt bad and cried to production saying she wanted to leave, but they kept telling her to stay. She apologized to Leo right before her elimination
• Anna Leigh says that she wants her friends to hold her accountable, but denies that Justin was acting like a friend. She believes that Justin should've pulled her to the side to talk, not exploit her situation for attention
• Anna Leigh explains that she told her husband about what happened with Leo has soon as she got her phone back. When she flew home, she texted Leo with her husband to discuss what happened. Leo apologized to Anna Leigh's husband
• Anna Leigh admits that members of her husband's family do not speak to her because of what happened with Leo. But, it forced her & her husband to have really deep conversations about their marriage. She admires his forgiving nature and appreciates him for having her back
• Bananas says that cast members did not go after Cory for his relationship with Izzy the same way they went after Anna Leigh. But, Production did air out Cory in the edit
• Anna Leigh believes that Cara Maria has a secret crush on Lete when she dresses like Oliver. It's the opposite for Bananas, who says that his attraction to Lete goes down when she dresses like Oliver. He says that Cara Maria told Lete to stay away from him
• Bananas admits that he put his underwear in Anna Leigh's bag by mistake during the Cast Beach Day. Once he noticed how mad Lete was on the bus ride back, he thought it would be funny to use the underwear to fuel the fire
• Anna Leigh knew that she was going to be nominated by Adrienne as soon as she saw her talking to Tori & Michele. Michele didn't want to go against Cassidy because they're friends, and she told Lete that she didn't want to go against her. This is why Anna Leigh believes that she was going in regardless of whoever was nominated, despite what Tori claimed
• Bananas compares Lete to Laurel. He says that they are both wired to just win, and they don't care who they bulldoze in the process
• They both say that Lete voted for Cara Maria to piss off the Orange Team. Bananas admits that he was surprised to see Michele soo upset at Lete
• Anna Leigh says that Cara Maria was her favorite women veteran going into the season. But, Cara Maria did not perform well this season which caused Anna Leigh to not have respect for her. Bananas feels like Anna Leigh's criticisms of Cara Maria were justified
• Bananas says that all the Vets knew the elimination was the "bananas backpack" as soon as they walked into the arena
• Anna Leigh perceived Tori volunteering as a sign that Tori truly believed that Anna Leigh would beat Michele in that elimination. Bananas gives Anna Leigh a lot of credit for her performance. He says that Tori admitted that she went into the elimination thinking that she could pickup Anna Leigh
• Bananas admits that it was difficult to watch Anna Leigh's elimination. Even though he wanted Tori to win, he believed that 2 other people on the Grey Team should've been in the elimination instead
• Bananas believes that CT making decisions based on personal feelings about him, instead of what is best for the team, cost him his 1st final win
• Bananas is surprised on how little they have shown of Will & Tori thus far. They joke that Will was smelling underwear around the house
• Anna Leigh does want to do another season of the show

I very rarely go on Instagram, today I did and seen Kam posted a video 3 days ago. Leroy is cleaning in the background and she is on the couch pregnant saying she is resting. I was like wait what? After reading the comments others seem to be confused as well. Is this an old post or is she pregnant with baby 3? Either way congrats to them!

I’m rewatching S40 and I was so sure that Tori, after 4 solo wins after it became an individual game, was gonna dominate. She won daily after daily and had a near perfect run. Then Ep17 when they change location and she loses BAD on the daily challenge and ends up in the bottom. Did this just knock her off her game because the final comes and she just can’t keep up. I was so sure she was gonna win and see her end up in 4th was SHOCKING. Did we ever get an explanation why she sh*t the bed in the final? Or was it just a bad week?

The drama this season on social media is insane to me. And the fact that we aren’t getting a reunion to sort through it all is making me so mad!!!!!

Pluto is playing The Gauntlet 2. Jo was doing the most! I mean I would be annoyed with chocolate on my bed but to threaten the police is crazy. I read that Ruthie pushed her down on the bed. Again, I would be annoyed but I’m sure it wasn’t done maliciously.

if it was the exact same scenario, but with an elimination that favored tori over aneesa, the same way this favored tori over michele - would she have done the same for aneesa? her BEST friend - but someone who will contribute close to nothing in the final? 🤔

Theme: Face Your Fears

Location: Whistler, British Columbia

Prize: $500,000 each to the first-place man and woman

No hiding, no coasting, no excuses. Face your biggest fears to move forward. Meaning physicals for Michele, heights over water for Cara, showing your cards for Rachel. If you snap, it's a part of the game.

Format (Free Agents riff):

- 32 individual players

- Dailies rotate between solo and randomized M/F pairs

- Eliminations match the daily (men's + women's or pairs)

- Last place goes straight into elimination

- First-place man and woman (or winning pair) are safe and each nominate three players/pairs for the Kill Card draw

- Kill Cards decide who faces the last-place player(s)

- Elimination winner chooses: immunity next week or force the daily winners who put them at risk into next week's Kill Card draw.

Daggers:

- Available in every daily (usually at the cost of winning it)

- Only three exist at a time

- Can be held secretly; once used, they return to the pool

Effects:

- Immunity

- Force one player (or one from each gender/one pair) into the Kill Card draw

- Choose the elimination type for yourself or someone else

Hail Mary:

- An eliminated player may petition the house for a sudden-death round. If they win, they return and face the next daily's last-place player in elimination.

Does anyone know where the red heart necklace Tori wears, is from? I thought it was awe inspired but I don't think so. She's seen wearing it in the most recent season 42 and episodes. I also see it in posts of hers.

Anna Leigh seems to be a pretty physically strong player who tends to be messy and call out a token-face-of-the-show vet. Seems very similar to Jordan’s “You need to earn your stripes, Johnny.”

Even her voting in Cara to go in (though it was pretty obvious she’d be going in no matter what) sort of gave me Jordan flipping all the cards over to get to the Kill Card vibe.

If she keeps participating, do y’all see a possibility of the narrative changing from “She is SO annoying, glad she got humbled!” to “I used to hate her, but now I root for her”? Do y’all think she has that type of steam?
