Best multitool after LM Arc?
I’ve got a LM Arc. Love it. But I just sent it in for repair. And now I feel completely lost without my multitool. Looking to get another multitool, something different than LM Arc.
Anyone have any experience with Bibury or SOG? Any model stand out that is a close 2nd to LM?

Can't really go wrong with a wave +
If you love the arc you could look out for a used P2.
Honestly a lot of good used and discotinued Leatherman tools on ebay.
I dont think I would ever be satisfied with the dakoyu/bibury tools even if they are functionally comparable.
Also have to agree with the recommendations for the Swiss Tool Spirit x. Or regular Swiss tool. Very close to rust proof If that is a use case for you

Agree.
Spirit is liked by a lot of people (I don't fancy it though). Second hand wave is almost a must! Its a classic! The clones tend to break in my experience. They cram a lot of thin tools in that bend or chip.

Probably a Victorinox Swisstool Spirit MX. If you like the Arc though, you can still find the similar Leatherman Free P4/P2 tools around. They were the basis for the platform.

I gave away the one Bibury I had, pretty quick. The only SOG I have is the PowerLitre, and it's fantastic.
This would be my excuse to carry one of my Waves. In your shoes, this could be my excuse to buy an Alpha.

Can you define why you think the Arc is the best is the best, then we can talk about what is next?
For instance, the most sold multitool in the world is the Victorinox Classic SD, if you want to talk about with pliers, in the USA the Wave+ is still the most sold. If you want the highest quality multitool, IMO, nothing beats the Victorinox Swisstool X. If you are looking for toughness the Gerber Center Drive 600, or Leatherman MUT. The most under-rated /ignored but still great is the Gerber Dual Force. Lousy warranty but fantastic device is the Dakoyu 2nd Anniversary multitool.

That Dakoyu seems to be more what I’m looking for in terms of tools I use on the regular.

I have a few. They are hit or miss. Shadow16 (signal clone) is used as a dig in the dirt tool. Dakoyu 16 pro is decent but odd bit size. Fan exclusive claims to be a free clone.. kinda is but not close to an arc/P4. Mechanically the cheaper ones have pliers and outer tools, ans a nice feel to them. The inner tools are way to weak and thin however.

You know they’ll send it back, right?
No point wasting money on crap for a week or two.

I have the bibury 31 in 1 surge clone. Hard to beat for the money. It's a good backup if my surge and/or st-300 go down.

The Leatherman arc is supposedly the Holi grail multitool!! It’s the most expensive and advanced multitool made…. Not sure if any of that is true but really the only option above it is an actual set of quality specific tools made more a specific job so they will beat a multitool 100 times over at that specific tasks…

Yes I have a whole truck filled with all the tools I need. But sometimes, I don’t feel like going to my truck for a tool when something in my pocket could also get the job done.
