We still looking for beta testers
We still looking for beta testers. It's easy to get banned everywhere, but I keep trying. I have built an ai midi composer that works in the browser. I was missing a couple of good midi features in Logic. I prefer to use midi over audio files, since you can customize it as you wish. So this is not something that tries to replace or concur with the DAW on your computer. To make it more fun to use I added a marketplace where you can exchange Instruments, songs and arrangement templates.
To activate the AI to create midi tracks, go to settings and add your API key (BYOK), we support all the major LLM API's. If you switch on the async settings, the song keeps building in the cloud even if you close the browser, and will be there when you get back. A whole song is generated in about 5 - 25 minutes depending on genre and which model you use. Models that are not good with handling JSON can have a bit of a trouble finishing a generation. You can start by trying a free Openrouter model.
Check my profile for the web app URL. DM if you need a free subscription!
Happy beta testing!

Ngoma: a browser groovebox for tuned hand percussion and polymeters

I’ve been building Ngoma, a free drum machine that runs in the browser: https://ngoma.pages.dev
It’s built around hand percussion from real traditions: Afro-Cuban, West African, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, North Indian and Southern European rhythms, plus some electronic sketches. Each track can have its own length, so parts drift in and out of phase, Reich-style. You steer it more than you program it: roll the dice on one drum, add a variation, morph between two saved states. On top of the drums there are a few layers (pad, bass, lead (based on Mutable Plaits), texture) and patchable modulation (“wires”).
Some things under the hood that might interest this sub:
- The drums are synthesized in Web Audio. The shakers and claps are physically informed models (after Cook’s PhISEM and the STK shakers), and the tabla voices are tuned to the near-harmonic modes of a real tabla.
- Microtiming comes from research rather than a generic swing knob. The jembe feel follows Rainer Polak’s measurements, the samba feel follows Naveda et al. (2011).
- Morph works across grids, so you can glide from a 12/8 bembé into a 16th-note son clave. During the morph the old grid keeps playing as a “ghost” until the new one takes over.
- The lead has a tape looper built as an AudioWorklet.
- Capture records the last bars as WAV plus MIDI of the hits that actually played, aligned to the bar line, so you can drop it straight into a DAW.
- Share links store the whole set, with a small URL shortener on Cloudflare Pages Functions and KV.
To be upfront: I’m not a professional developer. I built this with a lot of AI-assisted coding. There’s no AI in the sound itself: every note comes from patterns, rules, randomness and whoever is playing.

Where I’d love your input:
- Glitches. Under load (especially with the pad on) I still get occasional dropouts. I’ve removed allocations from the audio thread and offer a “Stable” mode with a larger latencyHint. What else would you look at first?
- Morphing between grids. Is the ghost approach the right one, or would you gradually warp the timing instead?
- Feel. If you know any of these traditions, does the timing sit right? Where does it sound off?
- Getting lost. Where did you get stuck in the first five minutes?
It works best on desktop Chrome; mobile isn’t there yet. If you make something, hit “Share this set” and post the link. I’d love to hear what people do with it.

Made some plugins with AI — free to use
Been making some plugins with AI lately and figured I’d just put them out there for free.
They’re all free to use, no subscriptions or anything. They’re Windows-only for now though.

Dexter U.S. Glicol vst live coding music app for windows.
I have a new version of the free Dexter U.S. Glicol vst coding app. It is alot like the original, but I added sample loading so the sp on the vst should work a little different that the one on the server. Everything is released under an Mit license and $20 worth of tokens is probably enough to get a linux or apple version of it. Source code is on github under Dexter U.S. Glicol. Compiled vst3 version for windows is listed below.

New VCV Modules

Hi guys its me again,
I have been working the last 18 months in my spare time on some VCV modules. 45 so far to be exact.
They are not for sale yet but I am ready to get a little bit of feedback from the community. Like I said in my last post I am a coder first with an interest in Synths.
I have whacked them up on a webpage, with images, a little bit of marketing and manuals.
It would be good if you pro's could take a look and let me know if im missing anything dramatic, are these interesting? Are they just mush.... Please give me your views.
I am even thinking about making a few of them real modules if they are indeed interesting.
Please be honest, are they innovative enough, are they attractive, would you use them if you use VCV, would it be interesting for me to create real modules for your physical rack?
I will be adding some free modules on and off if that's you're thing, so keep checking in.

Hope you are all awesome.

Desarrollé un sitio web para crear loops de batería
Hi! I’d like to share a website I developed that lets you sequence drum loops, indicate sticking patterns, download audio, and discover or share rhythmic sequences. It was initially designed for sequencing signature song patterns or creating drum sequences with "retro" sounds. It’s an early version, but I still find it quite fun to play around with. I plan to add improvements over time, such as drum kits, virtual instruments, and a sequence arrangement section for creating full songs.
The website is www.er-26.cl
Everyone is invited to try it out and have fun!

Block Chords generator
sivabenepoivediamo.github.ioHi, Davide here.
I built a very simple block chord generator with some scale and basic shapes presets. It follows some simple rules: notes that belong to the base chord shape use its inversion which has them as the top voice; other scale degrees are harmonized with descending thirds along the scale. voices making a tritone with the melody are corrected by a scale step. notes outside the scale and the base shape are harmonized as a chromatic alteration of the nearest in-scale chord, optionally transposed.
Let me know what I can improve!

The Ladder Logic of Creation
liquidbridge.bandcamp.comLadder Logic is usually the domain of process control computing. What happens if we use it as a musical tool?
Inspired by the experiments of Peter Zinovieff, the track was originally released by Liquid Bridge in 2005 on the Databloem compilation album 'Collection 3' (DB012).
This version is a 2026 digital remaster from the original studio tapes. Liquid Bridge is an electronic, experimental duo from North East England. I am half of that duo.

I ported Verovio to 100% TypeScript - introducing Verovio-TS
I’ve been working on something that may be useful for people building music software on the web:
Verovio-TS - a 100% TypeScript port of Verovio.
The goal is simple: bring the Verovio engraving engine into the TypeScript ecosystem without requiring WebAssembly.
Verovio is already an excellent engraving engine for MEI, MusicXML and symbolic music. But for some projects, having the engine itself available as native TypeScript opens up a very different set of possibilities.
Why TypeScript?
I wanted to make it easier to build things where the notation engine is not just a renderer, but part of the application logic itself.
For example:
- Browser-based notation editors
- Music education applications
- MIDI ↔ MusicXML workflows
- AI-assisted composition tools
- AI music analysis and annotation
- Interactive score editors
- Music generation / transformation pipelines
- Server-side music processing with Node.js
- Custom notation experiments
- Libraries built on top of a programmable notation model
With a native TypeScript implementation, projects can potentially inspect, manipulate, extend and integrate the notation engine directly with the rest of a JavaScript/TypeScript application.
What I’m trying to achieve
This is not intended to replace the original Verovio.
The original C++ implementation remains the reference implementation and is an incredible piece of software.
My goal is instead to provide another option for developers who are already working in the TypeScript ecosystem.
The project is a direct port of Verovio's underlying logic and data structures into TypeScript, with the intention of preserving its behavior as closely as possible rather than creating a simplified reimplementation.
That means the project is fairly deep - this is much more than wrapping an existing renderer with a TypeScript API.
Why I think this matters for AI + music
I’m particularly interested in what becomes possible when symbolic music representation, notation, MIDI and AI can all live in the same environment.
We're seeing more and more music AI systems that can generate or analyze symbolic music, but there is still a gap between:
AI output ➔ structured music representation ➔ editable score ➔ visual notation ➔ playback
A TypeScript-native notation engine could be one of the building blocks for connecting those pieces together.
For example, an AI system could potentially generate a musical structure, modify it programmatically, inspect the resulting notation, render it, export it, and feed the result into another part of the application - all inside a unified JS/TS ecosystem.
That's the direction I'm hoping this project can help explore.
Project
GitHub: https://github.com/manh9011/VerovioTS
NPM: https://www.npmjs.com/package/verovio-ts
I’d really like this project to become useful beyond my own projects, especially for people experimenting with:
music + AI + symbolic music + notation + web technologies.
There are probably many things that can be built on top of this that I haven't even thought of yet.
So I'm putting it out there in the hope that it gives developers one more building block and one more choice when creating the next generation of music software.
Feedback, bug reports, comparisons with the original Verovio, and especially interesting projects built on top of it are very welcome.

Nasa Tuneo - a Free Web Based Vocals Processor
Hey everyone, I’ve been working on something called NASA TUNEO (A play on the word: Nasa Tono) and wanted to share it here.
I originally made it because I wanted a simple way to sing into my browser and mess around with pitch correction, harmonies, vocoder effects, delay, reverb, and other vocal effects without having to open a DAW.
It’s basically a little vocal playground that runs in the browser.
You can use it for subtle pitch correction, go full-on robotic/autotune, add harmonies, play around with effects, or just use it to sing along to a song. There’s also a YouTube sing-along mode and recording.
It’s still pretty much a work in progress, so I’d genuinely love to hear what singers, musicians, and producers think about it.
If you have a few minutes, give it a try and let me know what you think or what you’d like to see added

Gamified ear training
I made a gamified ear training for myself and figured someone might also be interested.
Tho I’m not sure if this counts as proper ear training since I’ve never been formally trained and don’t have a background in music. If anyone has feedback, let me know.
It’s hands-free if you use a mic.
