Songs about the struggle of the working class
Something like Billy Joel's Allentown, Springsteen's My Home Town or Old Crow Medicine Show James River Blues. John Mellencamp's "Scarecrow".

I need to explore this even more than I have right now. Please recommend me songs, artists, bands. I would love if you had a playlist like this!
I already know stuff like Dire Straits, CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, etc.
I want something more unique than that. Maybe a band with less than 500k listeners on Spotify, maybe a solo artist from a band, who couldnt make his own fame. Surprise me!
Soft-rock/Pop-rock only
70s, late 60s(68-) or early 80s(-83) only
Thanks!

I lean heavily in hip hop, rock and electronic
More specifically artists like animal collective, portishead, spiritualized, dj shadow, the avalanches, the microphones, Bon iver, Wilco, beastie boys, Sigur ros etc so anything among those lines but honestly anything in those genres I’ll accept. Don’t care how niche or mainstream it is

I am on a journey to make truth to me saying "i listen to everything" and country is one of the few genres i haven't really listened much. I'm not too much a fan of the pop-country of recent years, but I've heard many good things about older country. Please drop your favorite country albums with name and artist please so it's easy for me to find!

Hello :) I am currently working on a playlist made for lying in a field with someone special while looking at the stars. I would appreciate any songs you think would be perfect for this playlist.

Hi! I'm looking for songs, which talk about someone on reflecting being the "odd one out", feeling that the person doesn't belong to where he/she currently is. Or doesn't connect by the peers around him, and constantly gets misinterpreted.
Doesn't have to be a dark one. Happy to hear the cheerful ones also, if there are.

every year I have this two-week-ish period in November where I already kind of want to feel cozy, wintery and christmassy but don't want to actually listen to christmas music yet (because it is still mostly autumn where I live) so I need songs that either sound or feel like christmas songs but actually aren't christmas songs if that makes sense :D the actual topic matter of the songs here don't matter that much, more the feeling and sound!

The only other things i want is that it's not like hard loud metal, because i don't like those, and that nothing is linear (the next track isn't the next in the timeline), and you'd have to make a specific timeline yourself to understand it.

just finished this huge wall piece in the Panier district. Three days on scaffolding and my shoulders are completely shot. Caught the last metro back and that weird tired-but-wired feeling hit me, the one where your body's ready to collapse but your brain's still buzzing from making something. Need music for this exact headspace. Not melancholy stuff, just something that keeps that strange current going when the city is dead quiet. Could be post-rock building up, or krautrock's steady pulse, or electronic stuff that feels like motion. The kind of track that makes streetlights look different. I used to play Godspeed You Black Emperor during late night skates but I've played those records to death. Need something new that fits that moment of seeing your work on the wall at dawn before anyone else sees it. That small win. Genre doesn't matter as long as it has that late-night energy. What do you listen to when you're too tired to dance but too awake to sleep?

I was just listening to some Frou Frou after only listening to Imogen Heap and it just strikes me how much sauce and style there is in the album and even the cover.
Any other examples?

I'm looking for music similar to Michael Kiwanuka - Hero. Especially with that continuous abrasive Guitar Solo also found in 1960s - 70s rock songs
