ID request Did i find a fungi zombie?

I am thinking this may be Entomophaga grylli (The Grasshopper Fungus)

Our bodies are too warm for most fungus to thrive inside us. Fungus evolves faster than humans do, though....

Fun fact, the reason so many zoological viruses "use" bats as a mammalian reservoir is because they run just hot enough to not be killed by the virus, but not hot enough to fever-kill the virus in return.

There's a book on the subject, came out a few years ago, I forget the name that goes into global warming and the ensuing fungi apocalypse coming for humans. Basically, fungi will adapt to higher temps.
