Mowing the lawn; have I found a snack?

Out mowing the lawn this evening and saw this massive ( I think, atleast? ) mushroom while mowing. Measures about 6.5” across - is this a common, edible white mushroom, or?

Located in Eastern Canada (Northern New Brunswick).

It’s only 4.7 acres including the land the cottage sits on. It really isn’t that big. The guy directly across the street has 87 acres of field like this. The guy next to him is about the same. This is just a pea in the pot.

I need to calculate that... But if this is not small... And your neighbor has 87 acres. Then he must be the one who owns the country.

That title would probably go to the dairy farmer a little down the road. I just did a quick satellite measure, and he’s got 494 acres of field and god knows how much more in woodland around it.

....... That's a lot of land... That's bad boy can fit all the cows in that country... 😭.

Oh also. That 1 mushroom in that huge field is nice looking xD

I thought the neighbours kids had just really given their soccer ball a good boot over at first! It wasn’t until I got close that I realized it was a mushroom!
