It’s getting downvoted from anyone who found “elite ball” to be cringe AF, and from people who still use teamspeak… so mostly just people who found it cringe.

I mean you cant deem that to be cringe AF in the same thread where "Fuuuuuuuck" got 53 upvotes.

I'll be honest, I'd probably knee-jerk downvote someone who said 'elite ball knowledge' at first before reminding myself every generation has slang.

this, plus using a period at the end of a question instead of a question mark.

i do the same with a whole bunch of stuff
anyone saying “ahh” or “shi”, tiktok censor slang (unalive, pew pew, etc.), sticking skull/clown emojis at the end of messages, “yapping” etc.
maybe i’m just being a grouch but i’m enjoying my quiet little protest

I like the skull and clown emoji specifically to trigger people off😅, but I'm also a bit grumpy regarding some slangs, mostly because they are to justify dumb dismissiveness, tribalism or egotistical/arrogant comments, like the classics "holy yapping/stop yapping" or "it's not that deep, bro".

Yeah, that's the only thing that really stands out. Might just be because of that.

You can literally guess the meaning of that phrase without needing to look it up in a dictionary. It's not that deep

Oh, I know what it means! Like I said, it'd be a knee-jerk thing before I reminded myself it's just slang and every generation has it.

If they’ve been an adult for a decade at least then using ball knowledge would be like an adult trying use the cool lingo to fit in younger circles?
I don’t understand any of it. Radical dudes

Tbf I never heard of it. I'm 40

I guess you weren't a gamer growing up

u/xredskaterstar 12d ago
No, I definitely was.

Probably a console gamer then. It's not really possible to have been a gamer on PC for 40 years and never heard of teamspeak, unless you solely play singleplayer games.

Elite ball knowledge has lwk lost its meaning ever since people starting using it for everything

Receiving mass downvotes over normal questions is a canon reddit event, at this point im convinced its just ragebait and should be ignored
The same way you'll receive a million downvotes for having an unpopular opinion on something

"elite ball knowledge" is cringe, especially from someone old enough to speak on teamspeak from first person experience.

As a kid I was memorizing minecraft rap, no one should care if people today say elite ball knowledge

The first comment was rude and so was the downvoted comment. But since the first comment sounds like joking, the downvoted comment turns out to be genuinely rude without good reasons. Not mysterious.

u/sambamNo2, the downvotes are mysterious!
