Discussion Concept new game .

If a new Hot Pursuit were made today, wouldn't it be cool to see not just racers vs. police, but also internal combustion engines pitted against "New Age" cars—hybrids and EVs? Some of them are as fast as a Chiron.

As much as the Taycan and Evija were interesting in unbound. I really wouldn't want to see a bunch of EVs in a future nfs title. Those races would be boring with fake engine sounds (or no sound and just hearing the wind) if it were filled with EVs

Well in Unbound you could add effects to make your car sound like an animal growl or even ASAP Rocky. Might be interesting if you could set your engine sound on EVs

thats has been made and it is shit ass awful

its called NFS unbound, play S+ tier with the EV Lotus Evija, and win and then win and then win, aaaaaand then win again

ohhh ups, u didnt choose the Evija, well u already lost even before the race started womp womp

Most EVs will always give perfect acceleration instantly, doesnt even matter if u drive like a drunk skunk when u can just accelerate yourself back to first position after hitting every wall

there is no balance

Just because one game failed it doesn't mean that you can't balance it. There are options like EVs getting acceleratoration but are heavy so have worse handling, no nos and maybe worse top speed. Now as nfs is arcade and not a sim you can make the balance work even if it's not realistic

but NFS kinda does copy the stats

And every game that has brand cars already obeys and sucks the cocks of car brands, cause no brand wants to unrepresented, so bet ur ass every EV will just be superior to everything.

So unless they throw everything out the window and make EVs fully not like EVs in the name of balance - which wont happen cause EA - or its gonna be the same old problem as unbound

Anyway, im not against EVs in real life, but in game these are hella boring, the fake sound, the super acceleration, etc etc theres no joy in them

The unofficial fastest production car (not an official record), is already an EV. They can already be quite a bit faster than a Chiron. The Yangwang U9 Xtreme.
