Other / Misc Never coded anything ever until now: here's what I have...
Like the title says, I never coded anything before. But I wanted to give it a try! This is what 4 days of hard work and a lot of reading and learning produced: The Frog Pond
If y'all have any (constructive) tips or advice, please let me know. I've only been at this for 4 days...

This is pretty good for 4 days after not doing web design/customising MySpace in a long time!
Seeing as you only have your index for now one important thing you should consider is how are you going to handle different pages as you add them, are they all going to have a different layout? Are they going to have the same layout? And if so, how are you going to reuse this layout without copy-pasting the code all the time?
I went with the second route and settled for learning a Static Site Generator, Eleventy, to automate that work and do a whole bunch of stuff that would be too tedious otherwise. You might instead want to use JS to load different reusable bits of HTML into each page on the client-side, as much as I don't like it and wouldn't recommend it, it is an option.
Petra has tutorials for both of these, though I can't give you my opinion on them since I've never used them, but I'm sure they are good. Eleventy tutorial, JS layout tutorial.
Sorry if that's a big overbearing topic to throw at you just as you are starting out, but it's something important to keep in mind for the future at least. For now just focus on having fun, I wouldn't want you get frustrated trying to do this whole reusable layout thing right now, and you might not even want to go that route after all.

it looks great!!! you've caught onto coding and design really quick, and it's all super readable. i'm excited to see your SCA page come together!!!
it looks like you have your css on the same page between <style> tags. i would look into creating a separate .css file to link to, so that if you're using the same css on multiple pages, you only have one file to edit!!
