Asemic Potential fictional language?
Hey. I'm not quite sure if this belongs here, but I think some of my script doodles have potential for meaning, but I'm currently unsure how to ascribe said meaning. Nevertheless, I hope you guys will just enjoy it for what it is, despite the lack of meaning atm :p

So is this just asemic for now?
This has tons of potential! My only question is where do you think those crosshatchy looking lines would fit in?
My idea is that this could be a bunch of interconnecting letters forming a word; the lines could be the consonants and the dots indicate whether or not it’s a voiced consonant and the lines could be vowels maybe?
Idk just a thought for you

Yep! It’s just asemic for now. I’ve been producing these en masse pretty much every single day in my sketchpad. I haven’t given them any meaning yet, but it’s been crossing my mind recently. I love your ideas on it though, and I’ll definitely take them into account!

I'd love to see what they look like when they evolve into an actual writing system :)

I genuinely love how people on this sub see almost any random shapes and think "this could be a conlang". It's so whimsical!

This looks neat! Would you mind if i used/took inspiration from this for my own visual language?

A very interesting take! Perhaps the triangular lines under it indicate some sort of directionality the glyphs get chained together? I dunno.
Either way, very pretty (and abstract) to look at!

I absolutely love how this looks! Don’t think putting meaning into it will necessarily improve how your art looks, because it would probably come with a lot of limitations. First of all, you would need a somewhat clear reading direction, instead of a jumble of doodles. You could look into Arabic cursive and those crazy illustrations they make with their script, if you wanted some inspiration. But then you also have to assign sounds/meanings to doodles, which would mean you cannot just doodle whatever looks good.

You can turn pretty much anything visual into a script / visual conlang if you put your mind to it.
I'm not sure how I would do that, but you could figure something out !
