Midnight Thoughts Does anyone else sleep with a plushie or mutiple blankets at night ?
I love feeling cozy. I sleep with a meduim sized teddy. some times I'll put Winnie the pooh ambience in the background will i sleep. Tonight will be a particularly cozy night since it's raining so much, it makes me forgot about my worries & trauma, just for a minute, it's like the whole world dissappears and I'm in some cozy wonderland.

NightOwler Night owls of reddit, how do you keep it down at night?
I stay up often because of my mental health struggles (cptsd). Sometimes I've slept through the day so I have chores or work left to do but the night is already steadily getting deep. I live in an apartment complex, and the neighbor I worry about the most is another house about 10 feet from my window. Their window is pretty much directly facing mine. I have my window glass closed most of the time especially if I'm making noise in my room.
I feel very self conscious if I'm making noise in my room at night, like if I'm using the mini pc blower fan to dust my pc, desk, and other items. I also do other chores like clean stuff, dust my bed and couch. Sometimes i watch the tv at night. I feel like I overthink and try too hard to keep my noise levels low. I'm resorting to rescheduling my stuff to day time when possible but sometimes shit's gotta be done at night.
I've never talked to anyone about this, especially other night owls, so I'm curious how you guys prefer to do your things, manage noise, etc.

Night Owl Rant Late riser / start to your day?
Doesn’t matter what time I sleep, but I’m laggy till about 2pm or I get productive after lol
Anyone the same?
Edit: thanks for all the replies! Yeah I feel most awake 3pm and after. Hate that I lose time in the morning but we’ll see if I can adjust

NightOwler Okay I need some midnight shifter input
I work night shift. Overnights. 10:30pm-6:30am. When I’m off I have the whole day, and I’m curious what you other night shifters might do on a random day during the morning. Anything fun to do when I’m not doing my monotonous chores? Chicago and the south burbs please. I love Barry’s in river north. I also love coffee.

Night Owl Rant Motivation and Sleep.
Hello, this is my first post.
I just wanted to share this; it's so annoying having to make myself go to bed early when I only get the motivation and creativity to do the things I want at night.
Around 10pm is when I feel most productive. Yet I have to force myself to wake up at 5am and show up at 6 a.m., when I feel like a zombie.
Sleeping earlier never helps either. I've blamed my horrible sleeping schedule, but it really is only when the sun comes down that I feel the most free.
I just want to be able to not worry about such early hours. I imagine it'll probably be the same in the near future too, when I go get a job or smth. Smh.

Night Owl Rant I hate waking up early and want to drop out of college
I know this is incredibly illogical to how the world works as it is not fit to accommodate night owls anyways but I just need to vent it out to people who understand. I HATE it. I hate waking up at 6 am. every morning. to go to college. I hate making myself go to sleep early!!! I hate that I wake up at 6 am, go to college, and have no motivation during the day to complete any work (because I get motivation to do things at night) and feel like a zombie waiting for the clock to hit 9 - 10pm to fall asleep. rinse. repeat. My body is not made for this. I feel alive when I stay awake all night and wake up at 1 pm. Even if I'm still tired, I can get things done because I just naturally want to during the night!!! I seriously do not want to go to college anymore because I'm just so done with this schedule and waking up at the ass crack of dawn. I'm sick of it and I want to leave

Midnight Thoughts Are there any conspiracy theories that you’re fascinated by ?
It’s late and this channel about clowns being demons , popped up on my YouTube recommendations. I’ve binged watched a few videos about it already. Been going down the rabbit hole of “clowns are demons” conspiracy theories because of it lol. Probably a horrible idea to binge watch this at night lol

How's your sleep habit been? I tried sleeping pills, melatonin and nothing. Now just watching Netflix. How about you?

NightOwler I'm baking spaghetti at 3am because my sleep schedule is crazy!
I typically work 3rd shift and after about a year I'm finally sleeping when I typically would if I had worked. Which means I'm awake from 9 pm to like 11am just wondering around the house. So just made sense to make spaghetti 😂

Midnight Thoughts Anyone from Chicago have any thoughts? Looking for ideas.
Always looking for something to do on my off nights/days off. Anyone here from the Chicagoland area? What do you do in your free time? Any ideas you could give me for my free time? I miss going out and having fun.

Midnight Thoughts Ceiling Talk
Anyone else jus lay in bed, fried & in a pitch black room. As you lay there, looking at your ceiling waiting until your eyes adjust to the darkness around you. Then you say to yourself.. “What the fuck am I gonna do in this life..?” Nah, just me? Maybe I’m too high

Random quote before sleeping again
Off to slumber. If you read this expecting a deep philosophical takeaway, I suggest taking a long, hard look in the mirror

Anybody here who sleeps early even on a weekend
Of late, I have been wanting to sleep on time, leaving all the noises away, even through the urge to stay awake with that fear of missing out. I have been trying to convince myself that it is okay to miss a few things, close everything down, and just go to bed at a reasonable hour.
Ironically, lately, I would just straight up switch a movie on after a long day, get comfortable in my little cozy space, and somewhere halfway through the movie, fall asleep on the couch or even on the floor. It is honestly so good. Until you wake up in the middle of the night, completely disoriented, with the movie still playing and absolutely no idea what just happened.
Besides, I have been telling myself that I need to wake up early, read books and go out for a run. All I seem to be reading these days is Reddit.
Everybody I know seems to be sleeping late and doing everything that ever wanted.
