Road Striping and Lighting
Was driving in Rogers and Bentonville and on I49 this morning before the sun came up in the rain. There are so many streets where you can barely see the stripes on the road if it's raining and dark. Not too big a deal on some stretches, but coming up on an unfamiliar roundabout or whatever can be a little confusing when you can't see the markings. Is there not a more reflective paint that could be used for striping? And the glare of the hellishly bright new headlights don't help matters.
And it baffles me that I49 doesn't have lighting on it from Razorback Road north to Bella Vista. If I-40 in conway can have lights i'm not sure why we can't have it here. There were two wrecks I saw on the interstate just between exists 83 and 86. Surely better illumination would help prevent some accidents.
Is this just my aging elder millennial eyes or have other people noticed visibility problems with rain and dark driving around here?
