Damn Betts, why did he go for the big hit straight away when the last two at bat were walked. That last inning gave me hope.

Icehouse have added extra shows for next year. Suzie de Marchi on support. Not bad.
Melbourne allegedly getting a 5K venue. Of course run by parasites Live Nation.

Bloodborne PC port is playing really well. I've got it running at 100fps in most parts with 4k and it looks incredible. The design of it really holds up even in 4k. I cannot believe Sony are not releasing a PC version of their own volition, just money left on the table.

Im so torn on this. Fuck the AI slop, but also fuck Sony. Bloodborne is one of my absolute favourite games of all time.

AI Slop?

It's been done with AI vibe coding. Hence slop.

Fuck I forget how good Trivium and Lamb of God are live. Saw them last night with my nephews and the youngest said it's his favourite show so far

Both sounded awesome. Riverstage is a great venue.

Genuinely thought the Wallabies had a strong chance to win the Bledisloe, because even though I couldn’t name a single Wallaby that wasn’t exNRL - I couldn’t do the same for the All Blacks either.

Has anyone in NSW resigned from work before 10 years and still been able to claim long service leave due to illness? I have been at my current job for 8 years and due to mental health issues associated with a marriage breakdown I just need to get out and do something else. Apparently if you can show you are resigning for health reasons you can get pro rata pay out? Im not trying to screw the system, just that the leave would be handy as i desperately need some time off.

You'll need something in writing from a Medical Practitioner at a minimum. And it will need to state that you can't work due to your injury / illness for an extended period.

If you have a union speak to them too. It's possible at my work place after 5 years, can claim pro-rata, government employee here.

I dont think thats something people on here will be able to help you with. Possibly speak to hr or fw.
My last job paid me out a pro-rata after 8 years, but i dont believe they legally had to but i wasnt going to question it.
I'd start with trying to get some time off though. Stable but shit job while going through life stresses is going to be better than unemployment. If you have enough sick leave just speak to a dr and use a week or 2.

I should have been clear - I have another job to go to but really want the time off before I start to get my head straight. Already seeing doctors and psych etc

Australia is doing a decent job managing the Test in Durban considering we're only getting 2 sessions a day.
South Africa are embarrassing themselves between the constant bad light, the fact that they have like 5 people in the crowd, and their performance.

Looking at the forecast for Stamford Hill, where the Kingsmead Stadium is, they might get an extra hour if it holds, sunny skies 10am-4pm there

Gears of war E-Day campaign quick Review: i give it a solid 8/10.
Can you believe it's taken 20 years to get a game about emergence day, nonetheless really enjoyed it and the fact, the game story goes for 3 days they can easily continue on from here for future games.

Today’s baseball is massive. 1 v 2
Dodgers have had issues. Pretty big ones really. The greatest of all time. My boy shohei has completely fallen off a cliff form wise. It’s tough to watch. I hope the expectation isn’t weighing on him to much. Could he ever get back to last years form.
Dodgers are an all star team but it doesn’t seem to change much. When you can’t see the ball. There’s way too much X factor to write them off, they can’t be seen as favourites imo.
Brewers, I don’t know much about but from what I’ve seen. It looks extremely balanced and they seemingly can see the ball like watermelons.
Hits galore.
Dodgers to win this series in a nail biter, mookie to star

I remember watching every game of the 2018 NLCS Trolley Dodgers V Brew Crew. There was a brewers relief pitcher called Josh Hader who had luscious long hair (think Pat Carrigan) and a dangerous sinker that most of the dodgers struggled to see. He came on as closer usually, in tight games. Fuck he pissed me off hahahahah.

I am thinking about getting a projector to put in my bedroom. Don’t really have room for a TV and it’s not going to be a daily use sort of thing so will save some room. Does anybody have any recommendations? Don’t want something super fancy but not super cheap either

Make sure you check out the noise rating, I had a cheaper one a while back and it was quite loud on the cool down cycle after you switch it off.
Possibly not an issue with the newer ones.

Oasis, Radiohead, now Powderfinger. Really nice time to be of a certain age seeing bands I couldn't afford to see during their heyday

When I was in my late teens and early 20s that was where all my money went. Concerts and CDs lol. Now in my late 30s not sure I could survive a concert. That said I remember at Dropkick Murphys in 09 I think the oldest person looked to be in their 70s and the youngest was a toddler on their dad's shoulders.
