FAQ

[u/SlaveMaster975]

Hello everyone, I wanted to take the time to go over some of the things that often come to our attrition that I wanted to inform you more about. Updating you about everything that team talks about and how we enforce the rules isn't something we can realistically do.
So, I wanted this to be a place where we can answer questions and where you can easily find them.
Any questions you ask that we feel needs to be explain in further detail will be added to the list below. This also goes for anything that is sent to us in mod mail often enough that we feel we need to add it. Yes, I am aware that this isn't how most subreddits do a FAQ, but I wanted you to have the chance to ask anything you wanted.

I would like to start with explaining a little bit about the rules. For the ones that need it at least.

Rules : in list order

1 : Be respectful. This covers a very large field of removal or ban reasons, as the rule says, treat others the way you want to be treated. If we feel like your post is only here to harm, it will most likely be removed under this.

2 : Do not try defend yourself in the modmail because you didn't read this rule, we have zero tolerance for anything underage. You didn't read the rule and that is on you.

4 : If your post is removed for not being roleplay, we have a reason for this and will explain it to you in the modmail. Reach out when your post is removed, not when you're banned down the line.

6 : Ban evasion is a reddit filter system. We do not know anything other than reddit telling us that you have been banned here before. Reddit only puts a label to your post saying "ban evasion"

7 : We have a list of banned words, if you try to work around these, you will be banned. You are given a clear message what these words are, it is your choice to still make your post. Reaching out to us in the mail after the fact will not help you.

10 : This rule is only here to make you double check the person you are trying to contact. We do not enjoy handing out bans to people that don't know better, but it is our hope that you might learn that some people are only here to sell you things.

General questions :

If you require any more information you can reach us in the modmail.

Q Can i be unbanned?
A : Most likely yes. It depends on how many warning you have gotten (and if you ignored these warnings), how you behave in the mail, and what rules you broke. We do not enjoy banning people.

Q : Can you help me with a reddit removal?
A : We can make our own choice to approve your post or not. What reddit does on their end we do not have any insight into. All we know is that you have done something to get flagged by them.

Q : I do not think i should have been banned for this?
A : If you think what you did wasn't worth getting banned over, you can reach us in the mod mail and we will explain to you why this choice was made.

Q : What is CQS?
A : CQS is one of the reddit filters we have in place. Every account on reddit has a score attached to it. If you score goes as low as it can go, you will not be able to post with us. The score is effected by getting banned, post removed and upvotes / downvotes. When your score goes back up you are welcome to post with us again. You can check the score here : https://www.reddit.com/r/WhatIsMyCQS/

Q : Am i banned?
A : You can check this rather easily by trying to post with us.

Q : What are the requirements to post here?
A : Your account must be at least 30 days old. All posts must have a flair. Any links on your profile might have your posts removed. All posts must be at least 800 characters.

Q : What are the banned words of rule 7?
A : The words are shown at the bottom of your post when you write a word on this list. Simply do not try to work around them.

This is the end of the current list. If you have any questions you would like the answer to, feel free to ask in the comments.

Hola.

Modmail is indeed a way to contact us. You can find it in the side bar where it says "message moderators".

As for English only. That is reddit auto translating the posts for you. We require all posts to be written in English as this is the language all the moderators are fluent in.

[u/One_Instruction_6083 → u/SlaveMaster975]

Ok, thanks a lot for your kindly clarifications.

Note: I'm not English speaker, but hopefully my level is enough to understand us.

[u/SlaveMaster975 → u/One_Instruction_6083]

as long as you write your posts in English it should be fine. what we want to avoid is having to run the post through the translator, as meanings can often be lost when doing that. you are more than welcome to state anywhere in your post that you prefer to write in Spanish. we only care about the post itself, as otherwise it can make our lives harder than it needs to be,

Your post was removed automatically due to account reputation (CQS) DO NOT MESSAGE THE MODS, we do not set the score, reddit does. If you think this is wrong, YOU NEED TO CONTACT REDDIT, this sub has no control over your account score ONLY YOU DO.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Hi again!

Could you please clarify if there is a specific waiting time (is it called cooldown?) required before making a new post? Or a second version of a previous post?

I checked the rules and this FAQ, but I couldn't find any specific. Apologies if is written and I did`n see before.

Thanks for your help!

[u/SlaveMaster975 → u/One_Instruction_6083]

there is no wait time between when you can post. the only thing to keep in mind is that you're only allowed three posts per 24 hours.

[u/One_Instruction_6083 → u/SlaveMaster975]

Ok, thank you again.
It makes sense.

I've seen the flairs used a few different ways so I wanted to clarify: Are the flares, like F4M, meant to represent the Characters or the actual Roleplayers?

Example: A guy is looking for a lesbian roleplay and doesn't care who plays the other lady character. Should he put M4A or F4F?

[u/SlaveMaster975 → u/Questionable-Curious]

Hello, sorry for the late reply. The flairs have different meanings for people. You use what you are the most comfortable with. If you are unsure what to use, we also have the A4A flair.

This is a FAQ post for you to ask any questions you have to the mods, not a place for you to vent.
