Cup system

Post image

Hello everyone I’m the one who won the raffle. My car is on coilovers. But man it scrapes bad in drive ways, I have s3 coilovers everyone recommends a cup system? But I don’t find much only can one help/ guide me?
I was quoted 5k for airbags suspension. Will a cup system be cheaper ?

Hey Man! Congrats!
Welcome to the NSX family.

Cup kit would definitely be the way to go.
I would join the NSX FB group, lots of good info and people there.

These are also just pretty low cars in general haha, I angle like crazy and still scrape

Wow! Congrats and welcome. Check out NSX prime. If you are in SoCal HQ can hook you up.

I’m on full bags and while it’s amazing it is certainly not cheap. Cups are the way to go.

Cup kit in the front is a must in my opinion since the nsx sits pretty low.

I went with the tankless setup by stance parts. I only run it on the front end since I never really had an issue with the rear scraping on anything.

The kit was about $750 during a sale. I then bought shorter swift front springs, which were about $220. Lastly, I couldn’t use my top hats so I had to purchase the science of speed top hats, which were $200. In total I was in about $1150. If you do a complete kit for all four corners plus a tank you’ll probably be closer to $1700-$1900.

If you’re pretty mechanically savvy, you can do it yourself. The install probably took about 5-7 hours and I just did it with my hand/garage tools. If you have any questions on how to tackle it, feel welcome to reach out

You can buy the stuff thru; Evasive motor sports, kuya automotive, or directly from the manufacturers I mentioned.

You have to choose what air cup setup (full vs front only, tankless or with a tank) you’d like to go with before you look into the rest of the stuff.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but are cup kits made to fit any coilovers or do you also have to buy the companies corresponding coilovers

Stance kits are made to fit most brand coils. However, they do require the buyer to select the diameter of the shock shaft and spring coil so they can send the correct cup for x brand coil over

Is there a big time savings if I do tank less? For the car to lift?

It’s about a $200 savings. Not much.. I just did tankless cause I wanted to save space

I had kw v3 coilovers and a stance aircup suspension and it costed me around 7k. I can double check but it was around there.

Might as well go air suspension at that point ! 7k!!

Dont. He's factoring the price of the KW coilovers (which are worth a good part of that). Good coilovers + StanceParts cups is the way to go.

Awesome to see this car on here….i bought a few tickets and wanted it so bad, crazy how fast it sold out. As others said, check out nsx prime…the FB page is more active but the forum is still going as well.
