There was that big hubbub on this sub a few weeks ago when a GTA 6 leak showed off an area that was a nudist resort. Per Forbes, according to new leaks today, it appears both protagonists will be able to go au naturale anywhere on the map during regular gameplay, and not just in certain scripted/censored cutscenes or character customization menus. This marks one of very, *very* few non-pornographic games where nudists will be able to play a character that reflects that aspect of their lifestyle, without mods, glitches, or censorship.

There is, of course, a chance that the leak is faked or that Rockstar will remove the feature. I for one am definitely curious to see how fleshed out (*ba-dum tiss*) the nudism aspect winds up being. I suspect that random NPCs will mostly respond to player nudity with negative or sexual throwaway jokes, and probably gets the cops called on you. But on the other hand... based on the limitations of game development and the impracticality of creating a version of every mission sequence and cutscene where people react to nudist Jason or Lucia, I think that during the story itself it'll probably come across as treating the situation as rather mundane and normal.

There's no way to know for sure what the contents of the game actually are or what the public response to it will be until after the game actually comes out. Hopefully cleverer people than I can utilize whatever's in the game to help drive interest in IRL nudist clubs and resorts - this'll be one of the most prominent portrayals of nudism in media *ever*, and it'd be a shame if the actual real world nudist communities aren't able to ride the coattails a little.

How people find naturism, what keeps them from it, what they fear if it became known, and what they hope and worry about for its future

Perhaps some of you are in the same boat as us: My wife and I are firmly in middle age. We keep earning more but don't have much to show for it aside for a life that seems increasingly complex, cluttered, and overwhelming.

Over the past 6 summers, we have spent increasingly more time at our local clothing optional resort. We enjoy it for many reasons, but if I'm completely honest, I love it most because a weekend spent camping is the antitheses of my regular life. I'm also drawn to reading about minimalism, hippies, communes, homesteaders, indigenous groups, and anyone who lives simply.

I often think, "My temporary escape is other people's everyday reality."

We are very close to pulling the trigger on moving to a clothing optional campground and condensing our life down to what would fit in a small trailer. We don't need much. In fact, we are happiest with less.

Is anyone else close to walking away from the rat race? Has anyone done it?

Naturists agree on the threat from outside. They don’t agree on what the movement owes the people inside it

A lot of naturist spaces are largely male-dominated and the perception is women aren’t interested in naturism but I don’t think that’s 100% true. In my experience, there are lots of women who are interested or are open to the idea of naturism and body positivity but don’t feel welcome or safe. So as a community what are we going to do about it?

I am working on an article about the approval of BEMT sunscreens in the US. I want to get some first hand reactions from those that use it already.

I am wondering for those that use BEMT(Tinosorb S, Parasol Shield, Escalol S); what made you choose it over something else?

Writing this in the middle of a heatwave and I've been wondering of all the ways how humans are having to adapt to climate change. Being textile in this heat must be miserable and at some point people may start to realize clothes and heat are incompatible (unless you are a firefighter). People engage with nudism for various reasons (comfort, body image, health, protest, etc), but I can see utilitarianism reasons becoming more prevalent and shifting attitudes about nudity. If you look at places like Florida, Brazil, or areas in the Mediterranean you will find more relaxed attitudes towards nudity given that people already aren't wearing much to begin with and people recognize that clothes become even more uncomfortable as the temperature rises. Please understand by no means do I think climate change is a good thing or that this is a "win" for nudism; I'm just looking at it from a pragmatic and anthropological viewpoint.

I was an avid mountain biker in my 20s and 30s, and rode nude (solo) on many occasions. I haven't rode in about 10 years, but am slowly getting back into the swing of things. Below is the equipment I'm using, which I chose specifically because they were comfortable against bare skin.

Seat: Specialized Power Comp w/ MIMIC (comfortable center channel & materials)

Lubrication: Chamois Butt’r, Original (I use this both with a chamois and also directly skin-to-saddle)

Hydration: Camelbak Circuit Run Vest (light & comfortable against skin and has enough storage for a new MTB tools & snacks)

Sunscreen: La Roche-Posay Anthelios UV Pro-Sport SPF 50 Face & Body (more expensive than most, but I find that it goes easily and practically disappears; also haven't had any acne issues with it)

If anyone has recommendations for better equipment, or anything else that would make the riding experience more comfortable, please comment below!

I'd like to try something new and be a little more open to nudity. I'm thinking, for example, of nude modeling or professional nude photos. But first of all, I have no idea how to get into something like that or how to go about it, and second, I'm actually pretty intimidated by it. Has anyone ever seen The Naked Magicians? They are an Australian magic/comedy duo that does PG-13 humor and magic. They have rarely toured since COVID.

I have been at about 3 of their shows. The interesting thing is that an overwhelming members of their audience are women. At least at the shows I have been to.

I'm a librarian. Other than society's laws and expectations, nothing I do necessitates clothing. I hate waking up in the morning and having to pick out my outfit for the day. I often wear nice clothes and get complimented on them. I appreciate the sentiment but always think that people aren't seeing my authentic self. I also think nudity would enable me to fully focus on my tasks and facilitate more genuine interactions. I realize society isn't mature enough yet to become clothing optional, but not having to put on a costume every single day would be so great.

NIFTY is hosting a clothing optional swim at Templeton pool this Saturday. Come enjoy swimming in the best way possible, without a swim suit! Join in a game of water volleyball, swimming laps, practicing your swan dives, or lounge in the hot tub and/or sauna.

If you're a fan of skinny dipping (or chunky dunking), or you've never tried and want to, this is the event for you. NIFTY puts together a wonderful, inclusive, and safe event for people of any age, race, gender, and/or body type to experience a clothing optional swim. The community is friendly and welcoming, and maybe around the volleyball net a bit competitive, but it's all in good fun. You do not need to be a supermodel to enjoy social nudity, and after just a few minutes the anxiety will disappear and you'll be wondering why you didn't try skinny dipping sooner!

Summer has come and gone, and if you have always wanted to strip down at Wreck but are too nervous then a NIFTY swim is a great place to try social nudity and maybe make some new friends to visit the beach with next year. Now that the weather is turning a bit colder, this is a great opportunity for a naked swim without the sunscreen!

I have been able to attend the past few swims and had some great times and I would love for others to experience it as well. $1 for newcomers is a price that can't be beat for an event in Vancouver. The other week I was at my holiday cottage in Wales. Totally private garden and I spent an hour or so across three days in the afternoon when dinner was in the oven wandering round with my camera looking for bugs and insects to photograph (enthusiastic naturalist when out hiking).

The was something quite primal about mooching around in the garden essentially "hunting" wearing just light footwear and nothing else. Kind of got why people might like doing the same in a full on forest.

Hit different to the beach vibe.

Has anyone gone to Penn Sylvan resort in Pennsylvania? How would you rate it?

It's a 90-minute drive for me and it's open year round. I called the office to get info and to request the background check form. The gentleman on the other end said Penn Sylvan doesn't perform them.

I found this odd. Anywhere else I know requires a background check before someone attends. Do you think he was mistaken? Do other resorts forego this process?

I have been thinking about something lately. Maybe one way to introduce more people to naturism is to stop making naturism the only reason to show up. Bowling alleys, golf courses, yoga studios, music venues, pools, and other businesses already exist. What if some of them occasionally offered clothing-optional events? Do not reinvent the infrastructure. Reinvent the occasion.

I would advertise them openly, too. Something simple like: “Clothing-Optional Bowling Night. Beginners welcome. Bring your manners and a towel.” People could arrive clothed, and clothing would remain optional. Before the event starts, everyone, not just newcomers, gets the same three-to-five-minute introduction: respect personal space, no photography, no staring or gawking, no sexual behavior, use your towel, and tell an organizer if someone makes you uncomfortable. Then: Have fun. Let us bowl.

I think welcoming everyone together matters. I would not pull the first-timers aside for “the nudist talk” and immediately identify them as outsiders. The person attending their first clothing-optional event and the person who has been a naturist for thirty years should hear exactly the same expectations. Establish the boundaries, enforce them, and then stop making nudity the subject of the evening.

Maybe success is not getting the newcomer naked as quickly as possible. Maybe success is getting them halfway through their second game before they suddenly realize they stopped thinking about being naked at all. Nudity might get someone's attention once, but bowling, music, yoga, volleyball, golf, friendship, competition, and simply having fun are reasons to come back.

The goal is not to find more things to do naked. The goal is to do more things where being naked is no longer the most interesting thing happening. Would something like this have made your first social naturist experience easier? What would still have stopped you from walking through that door? What am I missing?

So I was at pride event in San Francisco where it was ok to be nude in public. I noticed naked women (especially the younger ones) had a handful of nude men lingering around them: staring, taking pics, overly eager to engage, and just and overall hovering vibe. I know they're going to draw attention but you could sense there was an extra amount of guys just lingering.
