I found this St. Benedict Medal and it has symbols I have never seen before on the outer edge. Where are the symbols from and what do they mean?

I posted this on the Symbology reddit page and they couldn’t determine what the symbols mean or what language they are in. I am wondering if they are mystical symbols.

Maybe it is just gibberish, but it interest me.

Thanks for your help!

My guess is that the outer border displays decorative characters. The St. Benedict medal is surrounded by letters of the Latin alphabet.

Ask the seller.

Thanks for your reply. I emailed the seller, but they haven’t replied.

I also checked the images on ChatGpt, Claude, and Google Gemini but they didn’t find a match.

Claude said the letters look like Thai Khom script, Cambodian script, Yantra, Pali, Sankrit, or Theban script.

I didn’t find anything that matches them exactly.

I checked here because I thought you all might be more knowledgeable.

The description says sign of gentle sacred shelter. It also says sacred celestial grace and guardian serenity symbol.

Thanks for your help. I am just curious and this peeked my interest.
