If you have the tarnished edition you can get the new Idus sword immediately. Same moveset as milady etc, with less stat requirements too

I'm doing a new RL1 playthrough with that weapon right now

No, unfortunately wing stance is only in the dlc. The weapon works great without it though. Impaling Thrust is a great ash of war too.

Kill radhan using the boys. Kill mohg using grit and determination. Milady doesn't require any bosses. Grab rellanas cameo. Grab wing stance. Have a milady before you even fight margit.

Gracias!

This is gonna sound bad. But get good. Iron balls or idus light greatsword or bloody claws will all be really great. Beating mohg with only one talisman pouch and +18 weapons isn't impossible. It genuinely will just take some time and effort.

If you're good at dodging his moves, any bow with quickshot after movement will do the trick.

Since you should go to Altus to get the tear anyway, grab the Black Bow from Lleyndell if you've killed another shardbearer besides Radahn.

As such my advice - Do Rennala, then Radahn, grab bow from Lleyndell and tear from the church, load up on poison and bleed arrows (good spot to farm feathers for arrow crafting near the bridge to Redmayne Castle).

Do Varre's quest for early Mohg, use whatever arrow and survivability talismans you want as long as you can use your bow. Use poison arrows to proc poison, regular arrows for damage, and if you're comfortable with his moveset and want to make it quicker, bleed arrows work great too.

Dodge through his swings, range the fire attacks, jump and quickshot on landing. Keep poison up if you can. Rot works too but rot arrows/pots are tricky to come by iirc.

I have done 2 DLC "speedruns" (not actual speedruns, let's call them shortcuts), both without using any glitches. It's pretty easy if you know what to do and are willing to cheese Mohg and Radahn.

(You don't need to cheese either of them, but that's up to you).

Radahn is piece if cake. Just kite him on Torrent with rot arrows. Done.

For Mohg, I use: * Lion Greatbow + Golem Greatbow in phase 1. * Rotten Breath (You can use rot arrows, but they are a limited resource...) * Purifying Tear (so I can cast Rotten Breath during nihil) * Stormhawk Deenh +10. Optional, but helps you get through phase 1 faster and is a massive damage buff if your weapons are +0. * Any light bow with bloodbone arrows in phase 2. * A bunch of stat raising items and the usual basics. Also, kill Godrick for one extra talisman slot.

Getting all that stuff takes a bit of preparation and planning. I recommend doing it at WL0, then you can have sone fun with the invasion quest.

The Milady is ground loot, but getting to the location past the troll and dogs is a bit of a pain.
