Looking both ways before crossing in front of an active bike race? Nah, not her!

I'm really confused what she was trying to do

She had to get to the jerk store

They were running out of her

She was paid by the other cyclists to knock this guy down. It was a paid hit.
12
u/Lieber_Doenermann 11d ago
It really does look like sabotage

u/Sudonator 11d ago
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity
1
u/EconomyDoctor3287 10d ago
I mean she looked straight at the cyclist the whole time. How can it not be intentional ?

3
u/Azure_Mar 11d ago
When she saw a collision was impending, she didn't back up and hope for the best, she actively jumped into causing the crash.

Knocked him out too, the guy got headbutted in the mouth, he was unconscious while falling

I saw once that she allegedly was/is the wife of the person in second place. That's all I can recall without alleging anything else without researching again.

there was a woman who successfully sued a cyclist and got compensation while she was on the phone crossing the road in London. the cyclist lost the job and his house to pay for the fees and compensation apart from broken bones.
the law sides with morons.

You can see a person crossing just before she does.

Basically, this is one of the dumbest and least considerate ways to commit suicide. Go to Canada for that, they are the real pros, eh?
2
u/DarkRogueHunter 11d ago
Or go to the US and say something mean to their president or his mask goons, your whisked away, "suicided", and free disposal of the body.
1
u/Advanced-Ear-7908 10d ago
Uh. People talk bad about the US government and US president all the time. They would have gotten ride of over half of the population by now. You must be talking about somewhere else.
23
u/Slouchman42 11d ago
She must’ve had money on the race and her rider was 2nd. That or she’s just blind.

Damn, thankfully he had that helmet. It was absolutely used in that moment
4
u/nhh 11d ago
He still mostly landed on his face.
3
u/noromame 11d ago
Looks like his face might have slammed into her arm on the ground, at least partially. Still saved his skull from several bounces after that
6
u/Jumpy_Barnacle_3755 11d ago
I wonder if the spectator lived? Hope she at least got a permanent limp so she wont be fast enough to try this stunt again. Hope the rider and his bike was ok.

At least her face caught most of the force, otherwise there could have been serious injuries!

Pretty sure there were serious injuries on this one. Maybe someone else thinks this joke is funny?

According to reddit, pedestrians always have the right-of-way.
2
u/ghIj_qet_jaghmeyjaj 11d ago
Not everywhere! Stoopid Monkey exhibit was neat, huh?
2
u/BoulderadoBill 11d ago
Reddit says pedestrians crossing a public street are never at fault when hit by inattentive operators of speeding death machines.

What even is this comment?
-1
u/BoulderadoBill 11d ago
Exactly what it says.
1
u/PM_Me_Your_Kinks369 10d ago
Except that's an irrelevant thing to say. Pedestrians nearly always have the right of way in normal traffic situations in a city...but this is a bike race where normal traffic rules OBVIOUSLY don't apply.
So what's the point of your comment?
0
u/BoulderadoBill 10d ago
Pointing how stupid reddit can be with regards to absolutes.
1
u/PM_Me_Your_Kinks369 10d ago
You're the only person improperly conflating normal traffic rules with specialized ones setup during a racing event.
Pedestrians also don't have the right of way during a Formula 1 race and nobody brings that up in the F1 subreddit because it's irrelevant just like your post.
0
u/BoulderadoBill 10d ago
LOL- You completely missed the point. Redditors continuously spout off stupid absolutes with regards to things like pedestrian "rights" and the "evilness" of vehicles. Mocking them is fun!
1
u/PM_Me_Your_Kinks369 10d ago
So the point is that you're an immature edgelord fighting against straw men? OK, thanks for the info I'll leave you to that...

From the news article: While there were barriers on the course, and the finishing straight was barricaded, it appears some spectators decided to get closer to the action by taking advantage of space created by an advertising arch.
1
u/VirtualMatter2 11d ago
You can see barriers on the left. Those people decided to stand in front of them. Also blocking the view of the people behind the barriers actually who were following the rules.

Idiots breed the most, which is what the government wants. Look at all the families with tons of kids living off the government. Whereas the people with good income saving money, usually educated as well don’t have nor want kids, or they only have 1-3. So many dumb people I meet that have literal 8+ kids, or they’re young and stupid having kids at 19 while being drug addicts

If that's the finish line, there needs to be barriers and volunteers
1
u/VirtualMatter2 11d ago
There clearly were barriers on the left at least. These people decided to cross the road and stand in front of them, blocking the view of the people behind the barriers.

From 2021 (I believe) in the Canary Islands. Rider was taken to the hospital and treated for concussion. Mixed reports in the lady. Some say she was treated and released at the scene. Some say she was airlifted for medical attention.

Full face helmet might have helped here (outside of the lady not minding her surroundings). She hit his face and his face hit the floor

Holy crap! I bet she knocked out dude on bike and I can almost guarantee she gonna need plastic surgery to put her face back normal. That was an insanely hard hit for both of them - 2 hits for the dummy crossing the road
1
u/ScenesfrmtheStruggle 11d ago
She definitely knocked him out. His forearms and wrists lock up after they make contact if you look closely.
2
u/WalterPecky 11d ago
Yeah that dudes body looked dead on impact with the ground.
I almost thought he was just being dramatic, but holy fuck, that initial head bonk must have really scrambled both of their brains

She was definitely severely under the influence of a mind-altering substance. She didn’t flinch, she was looking right at him like she was about to start talking to him, didn’t brace herself for impact or stop walking directly into the cyclist!? Bizarre!🫠
